Yes absolutely. Today is month end so that should theoretically help the bull sentiment through short covering on all or most risk assets. Time will tell. Month end flows are almost impossible to predict. I have seen some month ends during similar times of fear where price just kept going. When the market is in panic mode, all bets are off.

They are all magnetic but that doesn't mean that they are the strongest forces in the market. There are hundreds of different factors that drive price in any given minute. The strongest ones obviously prevail. Unfortunately we have no control over them. All we can do is try to predict which forces are in play and which ones are the strongest. Based on the info we currently have, the Euro is crap, the Dollar is King, it's month end, we are overdue for a retrace. See, all contradictory. Now it all boils down to which side of the bed certain institutional traders woke up this morning and whether or not the dog pissed in their corn flakes.

I almost forgot that today is the Irish referendum vote on the EZ fiscal pact.

It's probably a non-event because the market has already priced in a "Yes" result and that is likely the actual result. Obviously if the result is no, then things can get very ugly very quickly.

I do not know what time the official results will be available but one would assume it will be at the end of the day.

The polling stations close at 10pm local time (21:00 GMT), so results will be out a few hours after NY closes.
