It certainly makes you think about when is a breakout actually a breakout and how close stops should be!!

None of these S/R are ever pin point accurate as people draw trendlines/fibs etc differently and the broker differences cause this disparity and they are all somewhat self-fulfilling - best to think of them as S/R "zones" imho.

That my weekly pivot values are all wrong. They are out by at least 12 pips... I am trying to find out why. Luckily you people warn me..
15 pips difference for my EURUSD is pretty significant to me..... especially if I use pivots for breakout trades in H4...
I don't think they are wrong ...

Seems to be same as in my chart, using also IBFX.

My weekly is at 1.2398, and Pivot at 1.2612. Have I got some setting wrong somewhere.... can anyone assist me here. I'm with ACFX currently. Thank you.

Guys - mild cry for help - I'm quite au faux with MT4 but this is testing my patience!

I upgraded to .419 this week and now the WEEKLY pivots are not displaying on H4 TF on USDxxx pairs and AUDUSD yet they are on other pairs?

I have tried it with both Alpari and FXCM and I'm getting the same issue, even after deleting and reinstalling

Any ideas why? Thanks in advance!

The reason the GMT+3 brokers may seem better in terms of price action is that they will be in line with the NY close. I use FXPro as they are in Cyprus and their daily candles close with the NYSE close. Just food for thought. I have always found being in concert with the NY close is much better for trading PA

Looks like most of the big moves (I'm just looking at USD pairs on the 4H) barely moved the TMA Slope at all. Is there a particular take-away from this? Is this the TMA expressing exhaustion?

Yes, but usd/chf and usd/cad are still above the 8 line so there is plenty of strength there yet. usd/chf took off and I missed most of it. Dang, got some of it though. gbp/usd also dropped nicely.

Dont have much to say today as the pairs I thought had one last run in them did and collected some pip runs yesterday. Didnt get as much as I should have but then how can I complain. Dont know what to look for at this time, will look for retracements and see what I can pick up later.

As per the pivot lines debate. The pivot lines are different because the candles are different. This may lead to the lines still being accurate because the start and finish times on the candles will differ. Before making a big deal about this just answer this question. Is price bouncing around those lines? If so are they also breaking at those lines? If so, you are still getting the same signals to trade but you are just entering and exiting at slightly different places and times. It is not that all the lines are different, the question is: Are they still telling the same story? I mean, this would affect every indicator you have ever used in the past, was it an issue then?? Why make it an issue now? When price breaks a previous low and your low is 12 pips higher/low than my low, your signal place to stop will be different than mine also. In other words the math maybe different but the results may not. Just a thought.

nanningbob just a quick note to say that i have followed your systems through the years,and just started the 10.2 this week,after demo trading since your released the 10.2.
the pivots weekly,monthly are great,luv them lots.
Anyways got into the gbpjpy on monday @124.45 still in the trade @ 121.92 only took the 1 trade because of NFP but the gbpjpy is doing well.
Keep up the good work,and many thanks for the time spent over the years putting forth your great trading systems and ideas.

Ok trends are back in effect, retracements from the beginning of the week are seemingly done. I'll probably wont hang onto overnight trades as we head into NFP friday but here is what I'm looking at today.

05-31-2012
Sell:
AUDJPY - in already, but looking to get in during London
AUDUSD - in already, but looking to get in during London
CADJPY - looking to get in during London
CHFJPY - looking to get in during London
EURJPY - in already, but looking to get in during London
EURUSD - looking to get in during London
GBPJPY - looking to get in during London
GBPUSD - in already, but looking to get in during London
NZDUSD - in already, but looking to get in during London
NZDJPY - looking to get in during London

Buy:
USDCAD - staying away from until next week
USDCHF - in already, but looking to get in during London

Obviously the dollar is being flocked to in risk aversion.

My floating P&L for NB trades is around +1,200.0 pips now, will probably close them out before Friday.

Thank you very much. I never would have gotten here without the other fellow traders who have contributed in a positive way. Each step, each system seemed to improve off of the old ones until we got here.

Thanks Verb, if you or Jermok wouldnt mind posting some commentary in the morning. I already know I will be up at school very early getting an English camp together here in China. We had a small English School rent some of our rooms now that classes are over and I will be here getting things ready. I may have time to try some trades at the USA open but dont know if I will get home in time to post them. Anyway good luck with them.

Hi,
I had the same after upgrading to .427.
Try this:
1. Select MN timeframe
2. Press HOME button and wait until the data no longer come
3. Repeat points 1 & 2 for timeframe W1, D1, H4, H1...

It helped for me.

hi got out of my gbpjpy trade from monday today at a 258 pip gain,could have stayed in longer but decided to be safe,after fin min azumi said today that he was watching very closely the jpy yen.
so for me i will not get into any jpy buys for now...
