For me after a bank holiday and thin markets - I let them have one of their "what the F..K moments" or "aha moments" and let them battle it out. So basically I stay out avoiding the above moments until they show me a direction

I hope that is your "live" account. Indeed, the Dragon "works" on higher TF's.

TAH runs into this problem occasionally, however, the past result show that he was right in his analysis, only timing was wrong and his risk is small enough to keep tah in the game. We'll see this one.
Try staying in some Sonic R trades for 3 trades gone wrong and down for 600 - 800 pips on one pair alone. Would be nice to see how many sonikers would surwive that and still keep posting positive results. Thats where a mental stoploss gets you Into trouble .Where is it gonna turn so that I might get into profit
Here is a thought...
Women tends to keep their loosers short.. ie letting their husband or trade go early....
Men tends to keep their loosing trades for a longer time hoping their trade or wife will come back to them...

It is arrogant for a trader to believe they have strengths where they don't. I have a long time ago realized I suck at being able to determine where to put a SL where the market will not hit it on a SL hunt. Trying to out guess the market is futile for me (and for everyone else, I think). I have also realized a long time ago that prices swing, and depending on the time you allow for the swing, that is pretty much a 99.999% reliable condition.
So, I often let rogue trades run their course, for days, weeks, even months if need be. And the only downside remaining at their conclusion is the aggravation of it all.
The market whips price for the sole purpose of hitting SLs, cashing in on the losses they cause others by using the created liquidity to get more of its own orders filled! Nobody can know where a whip will go. And the market has more than enough money to make it go as far as it wants to. If the market sees an extraordinary opportunity, it can and might whip prices over a hundred pips. It has happened before and it could happen at anytime again. So, where does a trader place a SL, all this being based on the trade direction being correct and the only necessity being how to survive the market's whips?
Master Sonicdeejay has made a sound recommendation to place the SL 100 pips away, to avoid most of the whips. Others here trade with only a 10 pip SL. Everyone needs to find the money management plan that works best for themselves. I have mine. If I find another that better suits my personality, and my strengths and weaknesses, I will change. Meanwhile, like every person, I struggle with the task of improving weaknesses. But I am not about to launch into somebody else's way of doing things simply because they don't "approve" of my way.
I'd like to add this. Hansma is always lurking around to occassionally post "afterwards" about the market. I don't think he has posted any trade, let alone a "real time" trade, yet this year. Instead of feigning concern that some Sonicers might not survive being down 1,000 pips, if he were truely concerned to help Sonicers then he has passed by many an opportunity to do so by trading live, and demonstrating in that manner the skills he professes to have that might help others. Anybody can be a proficient "Monday morning quarterback."
