LOL. Let me f them inch by inch. If it goes 3 pips against me it can go 300 pips against me, But if it goes 3 pips in my favor can go 30 pips in my direction. This is what I am going to do. Switching to 5M................. or do I really have to do that?......... I feel no gun on my temple asking me to trade.

Trailing stops will harvest while you at beach

If BOJ, intervene, can also trade the fade, probably the best fade trade in the market.

Key to her is must be patient, scalp the hell her, is 40 pip range, if want position get entry as close to upper or lower level of range micromanage remove sl risk, and either keep adding while her range, and be patient and wait BO, last drop 200ish pip plop one before 200ish pip plop no reason next wont be same, either up or down, range BOcan be boring while developing, but very exciting when happen, especially if you have put in the time and effort and you on right side, if wrong side, minimal loss, minimal harvest, have to wait next opportunity and do all over again

For all the uncertainty on this thread yesterday, it seems the general concensus today by the more experienced lot is either:

1. I'm waiting for a bounce to get short

or.

2. I just got long (about to get long)

I happen to be in group 2 myself. I find it rather interesting to see the shift in the tone of the writing and opinions on this thread over the past 3-4 trading days...

Actually has been helping me to determine clues to sentiment for years...
Like everything else, it would be just F'ing stupid to depend on such subjective and biased info to trade on...but in the right context...

P.S. I find the more experience lot on this website to actually be net profitable traders (some very much so)... so if this group is largely not entering new short orders... it's... iinteresting

Frankly Chicky, I'm long the AUD/USD... if E/U is a Lay...then A/U is a menage a trois'

Just check a daily/4hr/1hr chart of eur/aud.... you'll see what I mean

There is no reason to do anything at this moment.

i have the same levels (1.2900-1.3000) in my journal for 3 days.
until then - long is my only option (while above 1.2500).
big numbers are our friends...

yup long is r/r especially now gap closed, all buyers who squirt her up from last fridays close is still as can be expected, how high this time is the question,
For 4 weeks I have listen to all sorts of analysis for long, 4 going 5 weeks, long long long blah blah blah, reality is she benn going down down down down, wtf,
The number of people on this thread, been catching knives, all this time, and even now, long long long fuk long,
every litlle bounce, out is come ohhh is going be a skyrocket 1.300 1.400 1.500,
is now 2533, is bounced as should expected, now we see how high her can go,
It could go up her can do what ever she wants, but how much moneys been losing try to pick stinky smelly bottom, poop all over fingers .

anyone who is try long, and still have real money in account, I admire perserverance, but not trading skill, why not wait to some sort of indication direction is changed first,

before that - no long for 3 weeks.

I can't argue with short being a solid choice over the last few weeks... but I don't think you can say the opposite about taking a long trade in general.

It really depends on ones method, the timeframes one is concentrating on, the target, and how one manages the trade / reduces risk on trades.

For example, I had 5 entries on eur/usd last week. All winners... and 4 of the 5 were long trades.

I don't think I even made 50 pips on any single one of them

but I had lots of 15-40 pip exits (i scale out, so some entries may result in 3-4 exits)

You did say "picking bottoms"... and I suppose that statement stilll holds some truth, but it really depends on how much of a "bottom" your going for. A real signifncant pullback or reversal? ya... that just hurts.

but 20-40 pips during the london/us busy times? totally doable without any problem.

FWIW, I could se a move back down to 1.2510-1.2490ish before a push up (if it is indeed going to move up today).

But, though I wouldn't go long here, I wouldn't go short either. Not really sure where I'd short from before 1.2680ish
