Pardon my Noobishness. Is there a positive correlation between gold and the Eur?

From my perspective the way I saw gold was a defensive investment, meaning if there is a lack of confidence in a major currency you would short that currency and go long on a stronger one or if you have no confidence at all or want to place a hedge you would go long on gold.

Nop, not going to happen. 1.25 was finally broken, tuesday 1.242/4.

No....I pretty much keep away from the news while I trade. Price tells the story , if you know what I mean.

As #publicjud Said if the USD is stronger the Gold fallen , And if the Euro will rise it means the USD is getting weaker and that's mean the Gold will rise .

About the Eur , My trading method is based on DiNapoli ( Fib levels and MACD and others) That's it .
And the euro has touched very strong res on weekly (For more info you can see the weekly analysis by Sive Morten on ForexPeaceArmy) and it should retrace and the nearest strong res and 1.29 .

How about a chart?

I haven't ever seen a DiNapoli fib user .....most everyone I encounter are just using Fibs.

its dead in this thread today...feel free to add the Gold chart with your DiNapoli levels. I generally consider late Friday to be time better spent on education anyway

Do I have this right. So theoretically if the dollar strengthens (i.e. dollar index, etc.) then, accordingly, gold and silver should fall? Is that right?
