I agree with EUR/CHF but I trade USD/JPY technically and I am doing quite well with it. The only problem is when the central bank intervenes but it still usually goes with the trend, not against it.

As for EUR/USD, it is propped up because it is closely correlated with the stock indexes and commodities. It will always have a long bias.

I'm sure there are some really , well written EA's out there, but there is no way they are for sale.

Price rejection at 1.251

Bulls ran the price back up quickly to close positive.

I am still adjusting mine (with a small account). It started out doing pretty well but then started losing all of its trades.

even if there are.. EA are still can be used as advisor ONLY, but not the trade itself... coz there still tottly an ASSHOLES.... hahahaha...

Is it profitable in the system tester using Daily TF? If it isn't, you will need to rework it until it is...only then can you move down to the 4H and repeat the process.


I cannot remember who posted a bunch of testing rules here in FF - I want to say it was Merlin over at J16 thread. Might be something you might want to read if your stuck

My system is fine. It is just the coding, I think. It sometimes places the wrong SL or TP.

This gold trading is just like resistance and support only.. do you still need any indicator for that?
Read the entire market, money is made on the main trend not the fluctuation

Are you trying to make the SL a set amount ( ie 30 pips) , or attempting to use a MA or something as the SL?


Also...your broker may have something to do with it. Oanda for instance will not allow your initial trade to have a TP and SL. You have to have 2nd procedure to set that.

With my strategy, I have a SL placed at, lets say the low of the last 25 candlesticks - 3 pips (bid). It sometimes doesn't place a SL at all. Or sometimes it does not place a TP and the position, that should have been a winner, goes against me.

There is a GetLastError() function you need to call after each attempt.

if GetLastError() != 0, you have a problem, and need to call your OrderModify command again. Consider using a while statement

While (GetLastError() != 0)
{
OrderModify
sleep(1000);
}


Also check to make sure that your not getting Error = 130 in your logs, as that means the SL/TP values are wrong.
