Back from the city again guys. Looks like I missed a good bounce. What I have noticed is last few months when bad numbers come out of the U.S, the QE3 crowd start getting happy. Once it settles down, it usually goes back the other way. Looks to be bouncing around pivot.

The only broker in Malta right now is FXDD, but this is only a satellite office for the non-US customers. As for trading from here, you will first need to obtain a resident's permit and there are many requirements.
The main ones I know of (and there are more) are:
1. You have to bring a certain amount of money per month into the country and pay a flat tax of 15% on it.
2. You need to spend a minimum amount to either purchase a place to live, or spend a certain minimum amount on rent.
3. You have to prove that you have a certain amount of capital net worth (I believe it is €300,000)
4. If you are not a citizen of another EU nation, you cannot engage in any local business activities without a special permit which is only granted if your business activity creates permanent jobs for locals. (Penalty is jail followed by deportation and a permanent ban)

We going back down. Dollar index turned back positive and U.S equities indexes negative.

We are ranging. Up/down/up/down/up/down, ect...... Big battle between bulls&bears. Lots of lips moving out there.

There was a rumor that the Swiss Gov was going to impose a tax on foreign deposits in order to try and help their cause to cap the EUR/CHF at 1.20
The thought of a tax on foreign deposits obviously spooked foreign depositors, but more important, triggered greed in the speculators who went aggressively short on CHF

It turns out it was not a plan at all but rather a discussion in a think tank, so all went back to normal.

Goes to show you how jittery the market is.

We appear to have completed the range for today so I don't see any extension to it later, but rather we will most likely spend the rest of the day is a comatose state.

Tomorrow is another day and it also happens to be Friday.

Will we perhaps get another mild short covering like we did last Friday?

This and many more questions will be answered on the next episode of "What? The Euro still exists?"
