ADD: Looks like the economist consensus was right... a non-event. However, we may get a delayed reaction while the market absorbs the report.

Shouldn't a non event be negative for dollar? I'm sure there were people salivating for a drop...if it isn't happening they will cover the shorts and correction comes.

In prior minutes, ‘a couple’ members indicated more stimulus could be needed so it’s dovish
Some participants saw risk inflation pressures could build
Most saw roughly balanced inflation risks
All FOMC meetings in 2012, 2013 will be two days
One participant said it would be appropriate to extend Op Twist
About half of participants believe exceptionally low Fed rate appropriate through late 2014
Outlook broadly similar to March meeting

Razvan....Though the slide seems to be checked at this point and the risk may well be to the upside at this point, the PA has yet to cross the EMA 10 on the 4 HR chart. We may see PA chopppy sideways off the 1.2700 psycho and the 1.2750 resistance before it pops nicely to the upside correction.....

I agree but the current risk averse sentiment may be interfering with that. Besides, the market needs time to chew on all the possible implications of the minutes.

He should NEVER be allow to speak in public. NEVER! Every time he talks, he KILLS the dollar. Killed my short last month.

Basically nothing new under the sun. The report itself was just referring to previous report.

It seems most people here on FF are short e/u (especially the newbies, that got on the train when ride was about to end) and they are yelling like they're at a horse race "sell sell sell!" as if even if they managed to convince everybody here to sell leveraged to the hilt it would move the market even one pip.

See the FOMC news on FF, half comments are yelling for sell E/U.

Well, t hat is what is happening. Remember there is strong resistance at 1.2757 now, maybe we really are going to 1.262 first, or maybe lower to stop hunt that level.

At the same time strong support at 1.268
An opportunity lost is not a capital cost.
