^^ Me too. I love trading so much. Of course it's all about the money for me (if it wasn't I think I'd be in the wrong "business" lol) but I like the adrenaline and challenge of trying to see where the market will move next.

1% a day for a year is 10x your money. 2% a day for a year is like 60x-70x your money. Didn't do the math to the number but its around there.

2% a day is very possible even if you keep risk at 0.5% or less per trade.

People say t hose who go for big % gains are using poor money management. High leverage doesn't mean poor money m anagement. Poor money management is when you let yourself lose large %s.

i will never let myself lose more than 1% per day. If I do i walk away, because I know I won't be in the right mindset to be trading the rest of the day. I'll be too trigger happy just trying to get back to BE.

The trend lines have been extremely good scalping opportunities. In the short term the charts seem to be working.

Long term not so sure.

now that I think about it, when we hit 1520 gold, I think thats when we will get our Euro retracement. If thats such a strong support point for gold, then we know its a tough resistance point for USD, and USDs value comes ~60% from Euro

I'm going to start calling it the Aussie bottom.

We always seem to bottom and rally for the day around Aussie trading hours.

I was so close to pulling the trigger at 2815. PT has me convinced. I said it doesn't look like we will hit 2810 today. He called it pretty much perfect.

Plus I love going long during Aussie hours.

Calli it what you will! When your in this game for the long haul and you get a good feel for the markets it's a kind of instinct that kicks in.

I'm not bashing fundie's or Techie's I use a bit of both. I manange money but my goal is to make money for myself and my clients scalping for 10-15 pips is not my goal. It's important to know people's goal's when giving advice or taking advice. In my books the first cut is the deepest as I take the hit the moment I realise I errored in my call. I only add to winners and I never average down!

What are some of the best ways to know when the actual "correction" starts heading upwards? I feel there always has to be one, just a matter of when...

This is something I tend to have a hard time with, reversals of a trend whether it be short term or long term.

this is a long term trendline so i do expect this will be a decision point. whether we test higher or continue to 1.26.

Which is funny how that happens isnt it? right when big news is suppose to break?

But yeah I always try a short at those major trendlines. Tight stop if I'm wrong, it could mean the retracement is coming, IMO.

Still there are many negative trendlines that keep the Euro bear in place for a long time to come, I think, even if the green line holds.

You can see some decision points for later on, if it does hold.

This is my view from what the trend lines are telling me. Thats all I can say really I don't know much really, would be nice if some good traders agreed with me, but not many view this thread it seems
