taken that trade due to lots of confluency here ... i was away at my computer till now so a bit too late(about 3-4 pips) target is 20 pips let's see now what will happen ...

1.Confluence of M15.35+RN1.6100
2.Shooting star on M5
3.RN being significant today
4.Price unable to close above M15.35 for 3 consecutive candles
5.Price tested MP but was rejected quickly

Still in the trades, wait to see how it plays out.

Edit 1: Moved to BE at +9, a lot of times I would just take profit here, but I see downside and want to try my luck today

Exit @1.6089 @Daily S1 +12

Edit 2: Price continued down to 1.6080, trailing by rule would yield more.

I made one trade today that resulted in +27p. It was an H1 10 ema touch.

H1 10 ema was in confluence with M15 35/50, Daily S1, and RN at 1.6100.

Of course M15 35/50 where in a reasonable steep angle.

From now on, I will try to post not only the screen shot of a completed trade, but screen shots of the moment of the entry point. That way, every one, especially the new comers will have an idea of how things look at the moment that I pull the trigger.

Take a look at the attached images, the first one is the moment of the entry, the last one was taken after TP was hit.

Was a bit lucky I guess will probably not be able to do this on a regular basis.

I still suck at asessing risk/pos size per trade.

Thats pretty amazing stuff, Grovsnus. I wondered if you could give us an idea of what sort of trades you were taking? Were they from M15 or M5? Where they mostly MA10 or 35/50 touches? Did you always look for confluence from H1/H4? Do you have a set take profit or do you just look to the next S/R area? How many pairs do you follow? And anything else you think might help us traders who are struggling with this method at the moment. I don't think it's just me!!

I'm asking because I only managed to break even for April. I was blaming it on the current market conditions, but as your doing so well, I guess I can't do that any more!

Eu only. 60 % m15 10 touches 30% m5 12 touches. 10% h1 10 touches. A bit over 1:1 rr with 50% of pos, trail the rest. Sl 5-8 pips.
Confluence not super important with m15 10 or m5 12 touches imo.

Thanks for the info Grov. I'm really surprised to see that it was all done on EU. Makes me think that maybe I should reduce the number of pairs I look at to one or two to get in tune with that pair.

Entry and Exit on USCAD today.

This was very steep M15 10EMA in confluence with PPA from 2012.03.23 at 1.0033.

EURUSD Entry and Exit, just a momet ago for +8p

The entry was at a very steep M15 10EMA in confluence with RN at 1.2850.

Decided to short at RN because that was the first S/R level on that area near the very steep M15 10EMA.

TP was just above Daily S3.

First trade today:

Attached images of the Entry and Exit moments.

This was a GBPUSD very steep M15 10EMA in confluence with Daily S1 at 1.6054 and PPA from 2012.04.02 at 1.6062.

The entry point was the touch of Daily S1, the first level of the confluence.

The target was on top of the last M15 swing.

Second trade today:

EURUSD very steep M15 10EMA in confluence with RN at 1.2800.

Zero Drawdown on this one

TP was 15p but at the end I decided to close the trade at +10p because price was hesitating near all that M15 bars wicks.

I don't trade MAs anymore, but S/R, RN and momentum is something I play attention to.

My third and last trade today, I had no loosers today kk, but I will post them to discus what went wrong.

This one was not clean, it almost hit my -18p SL, but since M15, H1, H4 and D1 Trends where in agreement, I left the trade runing for several hours and ended with +30p

The Entry was due to M15 10ema in confluence with Daily S2.

At the begining my TP was 18p, to get 1:1 R:R, but since the trade was too slow, the moment it went 6p on my side I moved my SL to BE+1 and my TP to 37p just above Daily S3. But at the end I decided to manually close the trade at +30p.

In conclusion, this trade was dirty, does not look like an 10ema touch at all, but it was profitable because several HTF trends where in agreement with the trade and that makes a diferences at the end.

This trade I took it before some hours.
I sold at 1.2713 some seconds before close the m5 bar
gmt 9:00. I considered this m5 red bar as signal to
retrace some pips from h1/10 & (m15-35&50) but stopped out
and then went to my favor....
Is this trade failed because the news?
( I saw after that was some news this time 9:00gmt).
or I have to wait to close this bar and open the next
under 1.2710 to pull the trigger?
(to avoid similar losses)

file makonen i took two trades exactly at the same spot.
the first one was short after the touch of the 50ema. the drawdown was 17-19 pips and i closed at -15.9. but then it went down and i took another short after the red candle. unfortunetly i didnt close at +7 pips and i stopped it at 0.00 pips after the doji (not exactly a doji). i remember you could see the price stuck at the m5 chart on the 35 or 50 ma. then it went up again and after another doji it dropped like a stone.
sometimes you have to turn on a dime if you want to follow price.

the best trade was before all that when you could see two hammers next to each other on the m30 chart. it went up for 20-25 ppips very fast. i didnt take that because i was reading the news about our default!!
(that was an eohater trade).

makonen i can tell you why i didn't take that trade...

First - The fall from the last few days is too fast for my taste and i wanted to see some substantial pull back - atleast 1.2770 to enter.

Second - The oanda order book( which i follow close) didn't show any shorts building around that level.

The news - i do not pay much attention to this, except the major one ofcourse, when they are approaching i just stay out untill the thing sort out a bit... Sometimes it is good to play the news, if the news drives the price to a dance/choros level(strong one) then they are pretty safe to play.
