The only safe leverage is 0. No trade.

Every trade with leverage expose a risk.

You need to calculate how large risk/loss you are prepared to take.

Market tried to re-test 1.2971 and it did. Now it is coming back down. My estimation is that it will hit the 1.2951-1.2955. It will probably come back up again to re-test but eventually it will break 1.2951 and after that it will test downward 1.2935. But we will see. Please share your opinions thank you.

what time frame will give you 20 pip and 15 pip movement between swings the average movement between swings is 35 pips

That depends on your risk appetite. The lower your leverage and position size you risk each trade, the higher your overall profits will be. The reason for this is if you risk too high a percentage of your account it takes more trades to recover your loss on a couple of bad trades. Most new traders make the mistake of thinking that a higher amount of risk per trade will increase their account faster but it's actually is the opposite.

Always think in percentage of account, not pips when you're calculating how much you're willing to risk.

I agree. I am short with profit target set at 1.2830 and as you said I will exit
if market rises above 1.2980.
