As I said earler, fear is the worst enemy of every trader and greed is the second one...You think it is too much when you see 138% a year, but when you focus on 0.3% a day, it is like 10-15pips if you used 3% margin for/with one single trade only, which leads to 138% for a year. So, logic is the 3rd enemy when it sees big numbers, therefore it is better to apply only a tiny daily target, which gets rid of the 2nd and 3rd enemy as well.

This is a vary complicated question. Our accounts get margin call after a 17 pip loss. Why should we be worried about one percent or two?

this is silly :-) I am not because the ones who are, are known already..

my post does not have anything to do with what you say but is only a trigger for some to think in small numbers that takes away trading obstactles and achieve their goals.

That type of style is how I doubled my account trying to target 1% a day averaging about .5% a day. It took me about 4 or 5 months to do it.

that guy talking about percentages makes me remember one guy sending me PM's like 10 a day with signals of 10 diferent pairs and claiming that he is a awesome trader but he just dont have the money.

so i did a close look at his pm's and orders first at the 3rd one my account was already 50% lost. then he told me that there was a mistake on his calculations.

wherever...

I see a strong sell signal in your chart....look at the stoch, and rsi.

lol. I'm going contrarian to the crowd this time, target multiple. 3110, 3169, and longer term 3470 and 3540. No sl, plenty of Margin for whatever drawdowns. Tell that pilot let's get this show on the road.

Edit: Pilot may not be ready until the morning when Bernanke turns on his printing presses to pump up this Stock futures that have recently fell off a cliff!
All that is left in FF is just plain garbage. "Cloggie"

my watermaker for my bombs is 1.30146 so, since i'm not greedy i have all tp's on 1.30285. More than enough then i need to sleep a little bit and i have my 3 year old at hospital getting some medicine on veins.... so i'm a little stressed tonight... but lets keep holding and waiting... like usual...

Just in case you didn't noticed crowd is net Long EurUSD .......
That doesn't mean that bernake will not help out stocks

And that type of money management style is also how you are halving your account, it'll take you a month to do it.

Though ofcourse attractive, and easy for 'guru's' to sell forex to you: just make 10-15 pips and .3% a day and look in 10 years! You'll be as rich as Mitt Romney.

Fact of the matter is that pure geometrical account growth will likely cause you to go insane instead of enjoying a nice income from trading.

Sure your account will survive, but will your mind survive possibly multiple drawdowns of 50%?

Anyways, just be careful when trying to increase your account with %'s. Compounding is sexy, but also dangerous. As Einstein stated, the most powerful mathematical thingy in the universe is compounding. Don't let it work against you. Hehe the Romans back in year 0 even forbid charging interest as does Islam atm.
