I'm sorry guys, but now that you guys keep at it...I just rushed back to my T-desk, fired up my workstations and provide u guys with a hard proof. A picture they say, is worth a thousand words. I also had a pending buy limit on my retail account. I just closed it at the retail open. Attached below is the snapshot of the transaction. As you all can see...I WASN'T FILLED.

I purposedly displayed the whole window so you can see it all. I don't mind the account number showing. But you'll see 3 vital informations:

1. It is a LIVE RETAIL account.
2. GFT is the broker.
3. There's a BUY LIMIT order I placed on the 2nd of May at 30426 with TP 33121 which I just closed now at 1.30259. It wasn't FILLED!. There's no P/L.

I really wish someone else could come to my aid here. I don't say what I've not experienced.

I'm sorry about your loss mate but if your broker treats you as a retailer and filled your limit longs, PLEASE! Change your broker. Institutional & Retail trading are two different worlds. They both have their pros and cons. A RETAILER'S limit orders should not be filled at worse prices!

I seriously know what I'm saying!

You are absolutely right, Motion.

Retail brokers only fill the order during trading hours. That is why it is called trading hours.

Why should they fill when they have no trading hours? They are anyway fully hedged.


If a retail broker with defined trading hours fills an order outside trading hours, it is a scam!!!!
