If you trade on 15 minute chart and you place your order before Bernanke speaks it is not wise to do it, but if you'll do it after his shaky statement and it is confirmed by candles that make more sense doesn't it? Look at HDA post what is he saying to us since two weeks? He doesn't care about the news because he entered at the right level when the charts said "you wanna short this baby right here mate" Google Steve Nison and absorb as much as you can from this guy.

I know about that, and that is why I don't believe in the system that HDA has.
I know he will come out as a winner that's for sure, but if it takes weeks to get to that point than you have the wrong strategy in my opinion.

No no no not in weeks, all I am trying to say that candles are the best way to go in reading current market sentiment, when we are loosing momentum, or new trend is forming etc etc.
I am not here to judge anybodys style of trading it is up to the person and his personality, and I found out here and the other forums that daytraders are almost 90% against anything above H1 - which is silly considering end result is what should count. If HDA will have to wait another week or two for his TP but he'll reach it - nothing wrong with that mate, congrats to him

But everyone has their own wants and needs. Some people invest in stocks looking to withdraw after a few years. Some people's accounts are so large all they need is a few pips a day, and it can net them over 3 to 4 grand. It's all up to the indiviual, and there is no wrong way to go about it.

Yes 38K for your teeth sounds ridiculous, only not in America.

I personally know a dentist who told me: see the car that I drive? (a $75K Mercedes) He said I could buy that from just the revision of one of my clients teeth. He was a Federal judge (the client) and of course insurance paid for it.

While you waited to long the 3 white soldiers, traders who discovered the first white soldier already bought at lower levels. If they didn't buy the 1st soldier, there won't be a second, and then a 3rd soldier for you to trade. .

I'm not saying candle patterns don't work man, I only suggested a simpler approach. No harms meant. I'm sorry if I misconstrued your post.

I so much agree with you on that mate! Not for agreeing sake, but simply because it's something I do. And an example of such trader is Mercy_seat. Just give him price parameters, without charts let alone candles, and he'll give you entries.

Trading is all about making money. As long as our tactics/strategies pays our bills, who cares? . There're many ways to skin a cat!
