How does people usually trade OIL, I've never done that, might like to paper trade it.

Oil gives a heads up on moves on entire market... oil down means economy down means market down. down 8 bucks means market still has to catch up if it is a real move and not accumulation.

Judging by retailers willingness to hold the bag as they seem to be adding according to Oanda means we have a perfect recipe for a flash crash pt 2... right around the right time aswell May 7 sounds about right. Looking forward to a large move where most retailers accounts are cleaned up.

LOL try to say that to Steve Nison mate, Got better results on Daily, we all have to find our own style

BTW no hammer no bulls for me anymore (on Daily chart of course)

Scalp Scalp Scalp - if you have hundreds of millions - then you can position trade it - but you better be using risk money only.

In the morning you buy an island and by lunch time - you're begging in the streets if you're not careful - all in one day.

You have to trade it like a HIT and RUN car accident.

i gotta add my 2 cents to HDA i went short a couple of weeks ago, and the only thing that kept me in the game was your occasional "hold all shorts" post....i gotta say you have not only taught me a lot, you inspire me.......much thanks!!!

HDA all that advice you gave people are logging off now with bags full of pips and you still havent reached your TP ...oh well you know you will get there maybe not today but next week and thats where all the power is knowing your'll get there ....me been short multiples from 1.3050 from early April and know my self we will get there have a good weekend knowing we will sleep easy over the weekend

I was just sharing with KillerWhale about two nights ago that when I use to trade the USD/CAD - all I did was watch OIL - because it is so volatile - If OIL went down 100pips I would buy the USD/CAD and vice versa. Its only after oil moves, then the USD/CAD would follow.

The good thing was - I never had to read the USD/CAD charts at all - just blindly trade it based on OIL

But its not as SEXY as the EUR. The USD/CAD taste too long to move and you can be waiting forever sometimes to make money even though you hardly ever get stopped out.

But when it does move - you make a decent 100pips easy easy easy
