Many thanks to those3 who have in one way or the other contributed to this EA and indicator developement. My question is : does the TMA slope repaint? if so after how many bars can we rely on its values?

First of all many thanks to NanningBob and the others who developed this system! I've just started to read this thread form the begining a copule of days ago, and now when I've arrived to the last page, the 10.2 is released

I have one issue with the template and indicators: the labels on the pivot lines are in the area where the bars are, making it hard to see the price action there. I've tried to modify the 'text_shift' parameter on all the pivot indicators, but nothing happens. Does this parameter working?

Please read booklet 2. 10.2 TMA SLOPE INDICATOR 1.4. It is in post 1.

Just wanna say You made a pretty solid thing nanningbob. thank You replaying with it a little bit on demo now. and seems I like it will try to go for pips with it

LoL about all the " does it repaint" questions, this will go on for months yet.

So Bob, where does one begin to commend what you’ve got going on here? Not just the quality of the effort but, more strikingly, the goodwill with which it is shared with one and all. It bears the mark of a truly matured spirit. Thank you so very much.

And what now can the many beneficiaries of your work do except (as you said) “get an attitude, knowing you just saw the market change and others don’t know it yet”!!!

Regarding the WeeklyPivots indicator, it’s great that its lines are permanent and so back-testable but I’d like to suggest that in your finishing touches you please add a Number_of_days_back option just to conserve system resources and tidy up the chart.

the page 1 booklet says "Read the 10.0 booklet first if you have not. ". I have not and cannot find it, would someone please point me to the nb 10.0 system description?

It is in the 10.2 booklets folder that you've downloaded. File is called - NB 10.0A TRADING SYSTEM.doc

Thanks, I really enjoyed making this system, the weekly pivots really makes certain things jump out at you and is what really makes the system work.

It is like a mantra, the issue is not does it repaint, the issue is what is the angle of the TMA at the time you want to trade? If you understand how I am using the indicator, what is the angle? You then decide how long you want to stay in the trade and in what direction you want to trade. The entrances and exits are determined by pivots, S/R, or MA crossings. Those do not have repainting issues. Well the Pivot repaints every week on Sunday. LOL However, no matter what I say or how I explain it, we will see the IT REPAINTS for quite a while. The bottom line is really this, indicators that update their information regularly adjust, Sto, MACD, are others that update also over time. Anyway you all read my arguments in the booklets on the issue. I had hoped to lay it to rest with my explanation but ........................................

This question was ask by PM but I think my answer should be public though

I assume that the latest version is a logical consequence in the evolution of the above? I ask because after reading the version 1.0 I was completely surprised by your great focus and approach at the actual market structure.
If so I would like you to confirm me if I can henceforth use the latest version, which I am very happy and I must congratulate you and all your work group, but also sad to leave version 1.0 so wonderful its simplicity.

Thank you for your letter. The TMA from 1.0 with some adjustments was changed to a histogram and we kept the 5x5 EA as the 5.5 EA in 10.2 so 1.0 lives on. 10.0 laid the foundation for reading the daily chart and lead to the 2 weekly open histograms. The 2MA shifted 2 smoothed median is the same but is now the 5 MA shifted 1 open. They are basically the same line however the 2MA was smoothed and the 5 MA linear weighted. 10.1 added S/R and was upgraded to weekly and monthly pivot lines. So that is how it progresses as we learn.

A newbie question, please!

As to MPTM EA, how would you use it? Do you put it on an extra chart all the time, then it controls any trade as they are entered in the same MT4 terminal? Or, do you have to put it on a specific chart that you want the EA to manage an open trade there?

One last thing before I go to work:

The range trades of 10.0 are now the SRF trades. Basically the same currency pairs we used there. Just now looking for a specific trade rather than trying to stay in the market all the time.

The CT trades are done when the TMA histogram comes back towards 0 and we look to cross the pivot line in the opposite direction.

The trend trade are the ones that go over 4 -4 on the histogram and we look for re-enter into the trend when it gets up to 8 -8. So the influences of 10.0 are still there. I am not going to try to do 3 threads this time. I think I have successfully melded them all together here in 10.2 so you can seamlessly go from one type of trade to the other with price action and flow of the market.

Sorry didnt explain that very well in the books. You only need to put MTPM on one chart and it will control all trades on all charts. So I have one empty chart with noting on it, for example the eur/chf, I dont trade that pair, a waste of time I think, so I put the MPTM on that chart and the iexposure indicator there and use it for reference. So you only need it one time on one chart to use on all charts.

It would be ideal if a dashboard specialist coder could make a dashboard for 10.2. If anyone knows of such a person please do ask them. You would have the deep gratitude of many people here.

Red circle price ranges and comes back inside the blue MA line,and then it crosses back up over the blue line.But the Slope indicator comes back below .4.So how i can catch it？Thank you！

A dashboard that could spot SRF trades would make a mint and alert you when price is coming close to the main pivot would also be great. Right now, except maybe the nzd everything is sitting at range. Hopefully the news tonight will get things rolling. Anyway time for class.
