Part of the problem I am seeing is many traders unfortunately don't have a good grounding in the basics. Not knowing how or why markets work and the players involved or how or why technical and fundamental analysis is used to determine value.

They instead have a hodgepodge of ideas some right some not so right. Without that grounding attempting to build a trading strategy is pointless because the house is built on sand imo. Without this they are still starting at ground zero over and over.
Do your time and enjoy the ride...

Now to really put a damper on the whole thing, yes it does take years and there is a level of "gut-feelling" involved that really can't be taught or learned, it needs to be "discovered", one day, the light bulb will go of and all of this shit will make sense and come naturally.

I can happily trade while chatting here, being on the phone, listen to music or watch the Telly. That level of comfort in my trading took a long time to achieve though.

Cool
Today i shorted on that m5 triangle on top, that was a very good place to short, but had a tight stop (1.3280 sl) and damn news release took my SL.
If it wasn't news price would respected 1.3277 resistance.

1.3214 is your Pivot...and you have no numbers below it? I'm confoooosed.

Also... you've given seven figures within a 12pip range. Reallly confoooosed!

What happens if your 12pip range is printed with an M1 candle? I don't understand your method at all. Maybe a chart with an explanation may help? Or a link to where you explain it.

In response to your question directly, I assume you want to hear...its going up.

Hi Ken,
This is based on what's happend within the last couple of hours, thats why I can only give 6- 7 levels @ a time. When I said the last pivot was 09 and the last one this time was 14, what I'm actually implying is the range is being squeezed for a breakout. What I said in my earlier posting is with such a tight range over the last hour, I would'nt even have been interested until price breaks 09 or 26. Hope that makes sense

Hi...thanks for the response, but...

How can you not have levels below your pivot...it just isn't making any sense to me. If you're giving a series of seven figures, to me, the only figure that could be described as a pivot, would be the fourth one, with three above and below.

your chart is confusing. Are you anticipating move up or down.
Besides explain why past chart formation is relevant to present as you see it.
It seems lot of people draw trend lines but those TL can be interpreted lot of subjective ways.
In trading, you have to be defensive and aggressive at the same time

But so how can you say the previous period had a pivot of 09...and this one is 14...when 14 is the lowest of your seven figures? How can 14 be the pivot, when all six other figures are above it?
