i didn't blow my account yet - Money management, m8! I had some big losses like 20 % of my account but that's it - if u drive a motorcycle than u won't b asking urself if u r ever going to fall - u will fall one day and it's good to know how u r going to behave once that day will come...

I've blown about 3 to 5 accounts, my nett loss right now stands at slightly over sgd1300

Tears? No

Feeling worthless? Definitely, but it only strengthened my resolve to become a good trader.

...and that's the right thing to do, but I am afraid that most of us sometimes develop a bias similar to the bias that football fans have towards their football team.

money and numbers don't mean shit to me. So therefore no emotions involved - i like to paint and love to tease a beautiful woman, getting drunk or drive ppl crazy by doing some phonecall pranks, but that's life - trading isn't life - i don't care shit about numbers, final point. =)

First off... don't get this caught up in the FX. If you cannot separate your emotions...you'll be cryin' in yer beer for years to come. Get the emotion out.

Next, paper trade. Do not use money. Paper trade as if it is with real money and take small positions. Small bites. Cut losses quickly...losses are part of the game. If you are blowing accounts up...you have no idea of what risk is. You are gambling. Period. Be patient and do the paper trading until you have these emotions and management of skill under control. It could take months....years. Do it. Once you are locked in...all the money you thought you lost while becoming the trader you wish to be will come back to you quickly. But not until you've dedicated your efforts to this. This is the real deal.

If you really love trading the FX...then you will come around to discipline. If not...you will hate FX as it will absolutely run you ragged.

Have confidence and pay close attention to what the very disciplined traders here are posting...no-nonsense stuff. You know who they are. Again.... this is no "get rich"...gambling affair. It is a viable business. Learn it the right way.

and agreed this chanel has utl and other ma,s etc target 3657 3713 so
with 1st fence 3372ish 2nd 3476ish yes is room to long her from ltl of channel last touch 2994

This high of 3270, if holds for me will be a lh from the present weekly lh ll lh and if can achieve a ll will be breach the ltl of channel so her is very interestingly poised, for both bull and bear.

Yes, i agree that it could be seen as a "tuition fee" for the best university you could have ever attended to.....of course if it gets profitable on long term...because i hace this problem...i want fast results:-s

i do disagree - papertrading is worth shit! trade real money instead and learn to control ur emotions! the more u r able to give away, the more u will get. Relax and trust urself...

Looks a little wedgy on h4 but these things usually drop only to the bottom.. We'll see what the week brings..

When you are learning, trade to learn. Use a very small trade and protect it with a very tight stop loss. You can afford to be stopped out a few times on very small trades if it helps you to learn.
Consider each loss as a "cost of doing business" rather than a loss.
Most importantly, enjoy your losses. This means that you use them as an opportunity to learn what you planned, what you did, what the market did.....
Once you have learned your error, you simply say to yourself "now I do not need to make that mistake again, I have learnt how to be a better trader".

If you analyse every trade (positive and negative) as soon as you have exited, you will be able to learn from each and every trade you do.
Enter each trade with the intention of exiting a better trader.
Trade to learn and not for profit. Once you have learned, the profits will follow.
You never trade for profit, you trade to become a better trader and the profits will follow.

PS, it will take as long as it takes. Do not measure yourself on time, measure yourself on discipline, planning, execution of your plan and an increasing number of positive trades.

Why do you figure this person is losing his shirt? What is it that is causing the emotion? You think it might be that they do not know how to manage risk / money? You have to strip it down...start from scratch and then build into it....

paper trade first. then micro lots....graduate to mini lots...and so on.

What is causing the emotion? Money drives it right? Well..if you've read these very experienced one's posts...it ain't about the money at their level. It's about making the right call....and executing it time and again....the pips (money) comes naturally once that skill has been sharpened.

My take anyhow.
It's the simple things in life that have the most powerful meaning.
