Impressive results,

Didn't seem like you had any losses unless I read it incorrectly. Do you let your losses run until they return to a profit?

Any particular reason that you just trade A/U?

Actually if you have a good look you will see that Worst Trade (Pips): -1.0 on(Apr 25)

And no I don't "let my losses run until they turn to profit" that my friend would be living in "hope" not trading!!

I trade AU only at the moment as its my favorite one and I feel comfortable with it, I also live in OZ so why wouldn't it be my favorite ! ;-)

I do hold and am holding some trades for the longer term which I'm also earning good positive swaps on but they were taken with a long term plan in mind.

This looks like a very good system. Although I am a noob, I hope to learn a lot and contribute to this community.

It will take me a while to go though this thread and see what indicators to use etc

Anyone got any tips? I think I got the basics of this system down.

You gave me strong confidence to stick to this system although it really takes time to absorb hundreds of pages.

I have got a small question about post#10454 (Page697) from you. You attach two successful trade shots, one is GU, another is AU, and in Pic2(AU), you have 3 entries.I can understand the 1st and 3rd entries, but the 2nd one looks a little bit strange , the Symphonie signs were not all blue,why did you buy it? Besides, can I know how you set up your SL for 2nd trade? was it the swing high(1.04655)? Because I remember you usually use FIBO EXP as your SL and 10pips as your TP. If that's the case, I'm wondering the risk:return would be much more than 1:1, which is very dangerous imho... How do you think about it?

Can I take your words into a conclusion like below: If we take a sell order in high price, we can choose swing high as SL, if we reenter market at a low price, we should be very causious and take TVI color change as a signal to exit. Do I get the correct points?

Besides, in M5, you mentioned your 1st entry@10:00 wins 10pips, but from pix I can only see several retracement bars after entry point until TVI changed color to blue, during this period there was no way to make any profits Maybe I didn't catch your idea accurately, can you please elaborate more?

Don't you think that your RR is much too high?
i calculated about your gained pips per day and the resulting % you risk per trade.
so 20 Pips are about 1%.
At April 15th your daily DD was 51.33% this is about 1026.6 floating Pips !!!
And with an expectancy per trade of 15.9 Pips is a Risk:Reward about 64:1.

All before the April 10th was good trades. After this day you made biiig DD.
As long as your DD do not eaten up your profits you have a netto of 29% profit in one month. this are risky but good results.

go ahead. the 200% coming soon. :-)

In our early days we all did that letting our losses run in the hope of making profit. But that is not trading is it.

This #10454? I didn’t buy it. I sold it

True, the 2nd position was an error in judgement. At that moment, senti, emo were all 7 bars in red and TVI was spawning in red. I positioned a short without waiting for the bar to close. Unfortunately, the TVI did not close in red and the senti and emo repainted to blue. Fortunately, the trade did go my way after a very long while.

Risk reward ratio…. Hmmmmmm.. you do understand that you are talking to a newbie. no? (2.5 months of live trading only) Some people approach their trades in this aspect. I don’t coz if applied with symphonie it will likely give you a very large drawdown and will negatively affect your equity in less than 1 month of trading. i can be wrong but i am risk-averse highly allergic to DD.

we will never know if we are selling at the bottom price, noh? until history passes.

For this conversation this was subject on mitigating SL (stoploss) using TVI opposite color or swing high-low in case there’s a, say sell signal, at the bottom of the PA. the SL i have executed then was TVI opposite color

this happened last friday in the middle of the european trade, the price had a 180-degree reversal. my cutloss in EU was swing hi or 11 pips. there was a buy signal around 9:35am GMT+2 in EU and GU and a delayed reaction in AU.

PA-wise, by 9:35 we were already on the 9th bar from the last H1 sell signal for the current trading day. an average run is 3-8 candles. I was only expecting a slight reversal and for PA to continue downwards since every single economic data was bearish for EURO then suddenly prices just sky rocketed to as much as R3.

cautiously, I took every M5 buy signal that crossed MA60 and every M5 buy signal that broke the recent high as i traded the day with either 10pips or psychological numbers as TP's. SL was at break of swing low or 20 pips whichever was nearer.

Largest DD: 18 pips GU
Smallest DD: spread
total pips: wont tell hehehehehe
(green horizontal lines represent the trades taken last friday aside from the EJ/UJ during asian market)

i will take an M5 sell signal below MA60 and buy signal above MA60. this will help you filter signals esp during ranging days. there, i've shared my secret to the public. will you give me yoghurt for sharing? i want the sour one please, plain or vanilla with chocolate chips, sweetened strawberries and sweetened kiwi on top s'il vous plait!

Daytrader has already said that is a long term trade he has in, admittedly the drawdown was larger than I would stomach but surely thats entirely up to him and absolutely none of our business at all! His sharpe ratio is still 0.87 which is still pretty good.

I was this weekend searching on to something that i think wiil help some of us at least a little more. there is some programer around that can help me out thru coding a very simple indi? PM me please so we can share the idea for further testing.

Olivia When someone posts his/her results on an internet forum, I think they our expecting comments from other viewers.
