This question is specifically for Cloggie. I'm a noob (been trading for only about a month). I have a short at 1.31634 with a volume of 1.0. I do not have a stop loss and it appears I'm headed for a margin call. I failed to get out of the trade cause a f'd up the take profit and missed it on retracement yesterday morning so I failed to exit the trade. I've been reading your posts on here for the last couple of weeks. "What would you do if you were me?" It looks like its headed for the next upward resistance level? I am too much of a neophyte to know the wise decision in this situation. Thanks in advance as I'm aware you get several requests for advice here.

Hello everyone, I have been trading for years (held 500 Apple at around $80 years ago, wish I had held on) mainly fundamental but have recently gotten into technical trading and began experimenting with Fx. Trading Demo for a few months, did pretty well and have a small live account. I have focused on EUR/USD but considering the last few days I may move elsewhere (this pair is crazy).

A lot of good information on this site and this thread specifically and thanks to all those who are posting their technical analysis be it bull or bear. For those like me learning the trade it really helps to see both sides. For the record I’m with HDA short from Friday.

My strategy is try and determine the medium term direction (H1, H4, Daily) and find entry on lower TF. I use MACD and Stochastics for indicators along with support and resistance. Am I close to what most are doing?

Question, can someone explain to me why this pair is acting the way it is. Who is holding EUR up? I see all the fib levels and pivots (very close to Cloggie’s) but surely at some point fundamentals have to factor into the direction? Before you pile on me remember I am learning Fx.
Why go long...When you can go short!
