I have an Active Trader account with FXCM. It does offer slightly better spreads. But you are correct, I also pay a commission.

I close it before the 5:00 pm EST rollover to avoid the interest charges. If I have an unusually large profit in the middle of the day, I will take that as well. That is your discretion.

But I emphasize, this is unproven. It has only been a few days. It could fall apart tomorrow. I was only saying that from my experience, Alfredo's basket approach has real potential.

William, you can post whatever you want. Maybe by letting other people see the logic behind the trades you can arrive at an even better solution. Sometimes other eyes can see things your eyes overlook.

I was wondering how that experiment was going, you hadn't mentioned it recently. I am glad to hear it continues to produce promising results for you. I am glad that you decided to share it with the thread as well.

I will post them tonight and we will see how it goes.

P.S. I use Steve Hopwood's MPTM to close the entire basket. You only need to have it loaded on one pair. I save it as a template and then open it only when I want to close the entire trade.

Thanks William. I know its not proven or anything, but it's a start and can work in conjunction with other ideas for sure.

Hello Jason,

My idea is not an EA, it is simply looking at the MTF Slope indi and joining the trend.

The EA I posted is the latest version of the Luktom Visual Order Editor. It allows you to click and drag your TP and SL with your computer mouse. As far as I can tell, it operates the same as earlier versions. The main difference I see is that the settings are much more simple. Thanks again to Oliver (Olarion1975).

TY for clarifying William. Sounds fairly autopilot but heck someone with some programming skills might as well fully automate it! (wish I could, so many good ideas could be added too)

I think many of us would love to reduce some of our 'screen time', so will be very interested in any EA's that come out of this thread...

I agree with what you say. It is way too early to declare victory. The Slope indi is excellent in detecting building momentum, but we havenīt faced wacky, all over the place volatility yet. I donīt think that system will survive large spikes.
Alorente, do you mean the Extreme TMA method we have been using wont survive large spikes?

thanks William for this. Does it go into experts/indicators ? I'm very new to Mt4 . I tried to put it there but nothing happens when I try to apply it to a chart and is not listed in the indi list.

It goes in your expert folder. It will not do anything on the chart until you make a trade. After you enter a trade, it will manage the trade according to your settings.

Someone posted recently asking if this was in any way similar to the work of Belkhayate.

As it happens I was reading about this guy and his sytem over the weekend and there are definitely similarities between COG and what Al has produced.

With the OANDA broker there are 16 pair with spreads of less than 3 pips.

1.30 continues to be strongly defended, no matter how you cut it, but it's also still in a longer term downtrend as well. Not sure any 'true' demand is really left there, or if it was more the MM's wanted to reload, we should know soon as both this and USD Triangles continue to narrow.
