I didnt see a buy in EU.. trend was still red

GU I meant not EU! Sorry long day, ps I never said I used a 20pip sl, in fact it's 50 all the way for me but it started to go wrong pretty quick with the pretty lights changin on the Matrix so I got out.. with 20 rather than waiting for 50 to be hit.

Anyway up it goes again so I shoulda stayed in..

The trendline indicator repaint like all other except TVI now. There is nothing we can do if trendline repaint last 2-3bars that has nothing to do with matrix. Matrix read buffers from trendline and other indicators, it is just another way to show you the same thing.

If all the lights had changed thats one thing, but the tvi is still blue now, so I would definitely have waited it out with my stop loss behind todays low. If the tvi turned red and closed I would probably have closed it then, otherwise, thats what the stop loss is for.

just came from lunch and found 2 new signals buy eur/usd and sell usd/chf... took both. still on the morning trades long on G/U and AUD/USD ( already in profit)

The Average True Range on 5 minute is approx 7 pips versus about 15-20 on the 1 hour. If you are trading the 5 minute, probably the 1 hour ATR as minimum stop would be prudent. Maybe a profit target of 2 ATR's would be a starting point, but I prefer to use any 3 colors in opposite direction a better stop. Looking at ATR on cable/dollar and euro/dollar for my example of ATR. I think that the stop decision is the hard part and should be decided before you try any entry strategy. Moving the top after a 1 atr profit to B/E is good strategy and than every ATR profit move the stop another ATR.

The problem with that is you would come out too often, the emotion/sentiment bars repaint extensively, so what looks like you should come out on this bar will quickly look like something else on the next bar. I've found the best way to trade H1 for me is to just put the trade in, set the stop loss (usually at the swing low/high and look for the next weekly/monthly pivot or at least 1:1 R/R as TP OR a full signal in the opposite direction, that for me gained more pips than anything else in extensive backtesting and forward testing it. Anything else drops it down considerably.

EU isnt a buy for me quite yet.. maybe at the close of this hour if the signal still stays blue..

and olivia I've been testing the exit on a full opposite symphony signal it works alot better than just aiming for the first s/r level to maximize profit.. cheers!

Seems like the Asian session is getting bigger moves than the London session. Been real slow today - may have to wake up a lot earlier if this carries on

it depends on the day.. some days asian session produces fresh signals.. other days they wont be until london or NY. but I usually check the asian session..

I didnt hop in the shorts today on most pairs just because they were already oversold

i just use default setting... TF set 0 for auto....works fine so far
