Dear Bob,

Took a Sell on Aud/Cad at the break of support on a Daily chart,but it reversed from there,any thing failed to look from my side?

Hello Nanningbob and everyone,

I just discovered this thread. Thank you for sharing such good work. I am also interested in learning how the ''TMA for trending markets'' approach might work since I have invested countless hours into reseraching diffferent applications and modifications of it and also had programmers try out new approaches. If you need another tester with real money, I'd be happy if you PM me and we can take it from there or here.

No, nothing wrong, not all trades work. I try to be wary of trades if they are too far away from the red and blue lines. Beware of potential bottom of candle trades. If you make a trendline along the candle highs, it looks like it could bounce and then go back down. I wouldnt give up on that trade yet. I am bearish on the AUD right now because the Chinese economy is slowing down some.

In my 1.0 thread we used it on a 1H chart trying to trade back into the trend.

You provided a spreadsheet that displayed the volatility of different currency pairs for April '08 and October '09 in the documentation for this system.

Could you please explain how these numbers were calculated? I couldn't find any information in the thread.

Would be greatly appreciated!

The April 08 contained the info from the moves of Oct. 2008. I consider those a probable once in a lifetime move so I also showed the markets since the Oct. 08 moves. I consider the Oct. 2009 to be more representative of what is happening in the market today because the data is not skewed from the Oct. 2008 super moves in the market.

thanks for the information. I thought so. Since some time I does not allow updates. Otherwise, thank you nanningbob, 259 pips today on eight pairs (6 of them opened yesterday at 23:00 CET) and the day (week) is not over yet. I has been studying your system/idea for two months. I had created my own system, which is similar to yours. It is profitable, but less effective. You pointed me into more context. Thanks and I wish you and the children at school in Nanning good times.

Thank you, I have had to spend a lot of time at school and less time trading. Hopefully things will settle and I can get back to trading more.

I want to update my 10.1 and 10.0 systems. I will be refining some of my definitions and adding some refinements. It will make most trades much more specific as to when to enter, exit and add to existing positions. What I need is someone who is a decent coder and take existing indicators and adding some bells and whistles to fit the system better. For example adding colors to lines so different lines on the screen are different colors. Taking an indicator which was updated but I want it to use the old color schemes. I also need a pivot indicator to do what another indicator does so I want the best features of two indicators combined into one. If you are up to the task PM with your Email address and i will send each indicator with pictures and what I want. When its done 1.0, 10.0, 10.1 and AL's Extreme system will combined into one comprehensive system that will not be complicated or hard to follow. It will be specifically designed to fit the 4H chart. I need certain indicators change to do certain things. Thank you.

10.0 attempted to define both trend and range areas of price action and uses the daily chart. 1.0 tried to reenter the trend off of the TMA and MA using a 1H chart. Yes 10.0 was an advancement over 1.0 in that we improved the definitions of the market. You could still use 1.0 with the advance definitions and probably do well. I am working on advancing the definitions even more and hoping to include a read for adding positions to a winning position. When to do it and when to not do it. It will concentrate more on ending or continuing existing positions. I think I found a way to measure the strength of a move so you can stay in your position longer rather than closing out. Testing the theory now.

I've been through ff's multiple nanningbob threads and I am confused where to start. Theres version 5 then alpha beta then version 10 which split into three. Is there a document or a couple posts which I can read and get the heart of this system?

Also It seems like this system uses an ea in conjunction with manual trading. I do not have the possibility of running an ea 24/7 on my system. Can I still trade this method?

Is it possible to trade this method manually?

Yes you can, with good results. The added value is that you're more in touch with the market than when using the EA trading.
