Hi BKG,

The post #994, that I posted has a flashing sign at the end. I do not know how it came there.

Usually things like this take up computer resources. I dont want to take up any resources by unintentionally adding any flashes. Please feel free to remove that post.

You have already answered my question, so I dont mind if that post is removed.

thanks

Hi BKG,

I got stopped out of AudCAD buy that we spoke previously.

How did you manage? I think you also took the trade.

Any reason that is obivious that I missed out on that trade on the bullish 10sma close?

I tried to reason it out and one reason may be AUDUSD did not follow it, and did the opposite. May be that would have been a reason for not to take the trade?

Should we look at correlated pairs also?

thanks

Congrats mate! System is powerfull indeed. I closed my position in almost perfect place, well 10 pips down would be better but still a very nice result.
AUD/JPY is pulling back atm as AUD/USD I'll be watching new candle tonight.
Still many stuff to learn I am trading both live and demo, live what seems to be clear and on demo what may cause some trouble. For example
If it stays at lets say 86,10 and new candle pop up, we are still acting within rules. We are under res and 10sma but we also have that 90 pip drop above our head which in case of another short position could be a very bad trade know what I am trying to say?
Or maybe I shouldn't closed my position and sit on my hands after all (just realised that)
swing it!

First, great stuff. You guys already know that.

Second, just a time question.

Is the D1 time frame set on GMT close/open or other TF? (as in someones brokerage server TF)

Maybe I should just say what time compared to the GMT is the server closing the day we use as a guide?

Of course, you could just use your own brokerage server time, but that gives you fairly different returns.

Great trading to all, Forest

Here is a simple EA for Backtesting. I backtesting it for USDCHF pair with $10,000 and 1 lot, it will return 400% for last year. USDCHF is the best pair so far.

Good day everyone, and good deals. Thanks BKG for a good strategy. Sorry for my bad english. Question about EA Daily10SMA, who can fix advisor so that he would open limit order at a price high/low previous day, but not at the closing price?

My daily server will click over to the new day in about 1 hour.

It appears the E.J will close under the SMA 10 + be off a major HL of resistence.

I do also see that it has retraced about 80 pips off the day low to its current price which could be giving us a better entry price. Current retrace is right at the 50% level for the day.

The other glitch I can see might be the proximity of the Weekly Pivot just a few point north of the current price.

Still, looks like a set up to short.

Do I have this about right?

Thanks for your input.

Hi,

Took CHFJPY sell on 10 sma close and hit the stop loss.

Anything wrong here? Any reasons that I should have avoided the trade?

This is the second loss after the AUD CAD buy I took earlier. Also took the AudCad buy after additional confirmation of the previous bullish hammer boucning from support.

Comments welcome on both CHFJPY AND AUDCAD.

thanks

Hey Forexnubie

Nothing special just news driven pullback, ate my 80 pips on EJ good I was BE+10
We cannot do nothing about news and there will be quite few this week, I cannot see clear signal tonight. I'll try gold on demo looks promising. Thursday signal was valid but then again came back. I'll be waiting until tuesday with currencies.
Good luck to all

I must admit, I am always anxious taking entry with the slope of the SMA 10 not in agreement with the direction I expect/want the trade to go. This is frequently the case with the initial close of price over the SMA 10.

Of course, I understand with the BKG rules -- and hey, it's been working --there is no need to wait for the turn of the 10 line, and you will get in later by waiting, but it is often true that allowing the slope to turn around to your direction leads to success. Just my thoughts.

Thanks to those of you posting your entry ideas. I'm looking for solid entries. I kind of like the A.J and A.U which drifted up over the weekend but still look like shorts which have now backed up to drop from the SMA 10 down sloping line.

Obvious problem: both of these opened above the SMA 10 but are now below so probably need to wait a day and see where it goes. Second problem: price not coming off a point of major resistence/support. Technically, there is no entry of course.

BKG and other forum old hands, any thoughts?

Forest
