You're right! I just got a bloody nose, lip,and eye... Today I feel like a Forex UFC fighter... I think she turning around now so I'm looking to short again... Fingers crossed

ok good, coz risk looks like it is reversing. This pop may fade today. Time will tell.

btw... that H1 trend line on my USDX chart is holding. Let's see if it stays that way.

The euro /quotes/zigman/4867933/sampled EURUSD +0.4309% rose to $1.321 from $1.317 and to 109.29 yen /quotes/zigman/4868097/sampled EURJPY +0.5204% , from Ą108.74, with some analysts pointing to eased worries about Europe’s sovereign-debt troubles.

“There have been plenty of scare stories about ongoing problems in the euro zone, centering on Portugal and Spain and even speculation of a third Greek bailout being needed at some point. However, the reality is that markets have reduced their attention on euro-zone debt issues for the time being,” said Mitul Kotecha, Hong Kong-based head of global-foreign-exchange strategy at Crédit Agricole.

“Once the latest bout of risk aversion passes, this ought to allow the [euro] some room to push higher,” he added.

The dollar /quotes/zigman/4868099/sampled USDJPY +0.0734% was purchasing Ą82.772, compared with Ą82.51, while the British pound /quotes/zigman/4867886/sampled GBPUSD +0.2652% was changing hands for $1.582 from $1.581.

The dollar’s fall came even as Asian stock markets fell sharply on Friday amid worries over the global economic trajectory. Asia Markets

Closed my long.+45. Missed the top as I was bringing my daughter to the creche. May be a good place for a bounce back up but thinking about calling it a day/week

Fundamentals and money flow. We are coming to the end of a quarter as in March 31, 2012 and there will be rebalancing of portfolio's and year end in Japan and other things as well. A picture is worth a thousand words until the picture changes. When something bad or good happens then the camera can snap the picture. The EVENT caused the picture to change.

Here's my outlook on the daily. The H/S pattern is still very much in play and looks like the 61.8 fibo held very well so far.

Daily Report: Markets Staying in Range as Sentiments Stabilized

Markets are stuck in range as sentiments stabilized in Asian session today. Fed Chairman Bernanke said yesterday that economic recovery in US still lacks sustainable strength. Bernanke remained cautious on the economic outlook, citing consumer spending, currently taking up 70% of the US GDP, is not robust enough to sustain growth. He stated that "every country needs to have an appropriate balance of consumption, capital formation, exports and government spending, and that's an important task for us going forward... In terms of debt and consumption and so on, we're still way low relative to the patterns before the crisis'.

On the other hand, St Louis Fed President Bullard stated that the current situation warrant to change the central bank's policy. He stated that 'as the U.S. economy continues to rebound and repair', further easing 'may create an over-commitment to ultra-easy monetary policy' and 'it may be a good time to take stock of whether we may be at a turning point'.

Dallas Fed Fisher said that the economy is now in "much better shape than before". The know inflation hawk acknowledged that inflation is not the major issue and the challenges are "jobs creation and prosperity." He doesn't not support another round of quantitative easing. Fisher noted that "the money that is already out there is not being put to use". Rather, Fisher urged "better fiscal policy" to complement Fed's monetary policy.

Chicago Fed Evans said that the unemployment at 8.3% is "substantially above reasonable measures of the natural rate." Underlying inflation measures are projected to be below Fed's 2% objective "for a number of years". And hence, "more accommodation would be appropriate." And he expects that by the end of 2014, unemployment could remain relatively higher and thus, Fed might indeed leave rate near zero beyond end of 2014.

The economic data is relatively light today. Main focus will be on Canadian CPI, which is expected to rise to 2.7% yoy in February while core CPI is expected to rise to 2.2% yoy. US new home sales is expected to rise to 325k annual rate in February.

USDX is generated partly from EURUSD. I don't bother to check out exact value, but if I recall right it was around 50-60% of value comes from this major pair.

Around 2009 we wrote an indicator to calculate relational values of major and crosses, where we calculated indexes for each currency.
Indicator was nice, but when you started it, it killed MT4, because of huge amount of calculation.

USDX is a weighted geometric mean of the dollar's value compared only with
Euro (EUR), 58.6% weight
Japanese yen (JPY) 12.6% weight
Pound sterling (GBP), 11.9% weight
Canadian dollar (CAD), 9.1% weight
Swedish krona (SEK), 4.2% weight and
Swiss franc (CHF) 3.6% weight

i have no tulorens today.
price mayt move down for anther 30 20 pips ,,but iam out

...and if the price keeps falling, there is a good chance we will close lower than the open today. There is no buying interest in the Euro and the selling interest in the Dollar is exhausted.

By the way, this week was a very small range. Usually after small ranging weeks, we get a breakout to extend the range. So, the only question now is up or down? I say down.

i ment on the short time priod,and i agree white u about the range stuf .
on the short time priod we mayt bounsd from the 50 61 fib and the diagonal line +there large horizontal support , so will see.

by the way do u know if there is a good broker thet give 1 pips spreds(fix spread) on the eur usd? (excpt oanda and mb).

I have Bearish HD on H4 and H1 with MACD
Fed up with this Bullshit upmoves (no pun intended)
I opened a S @ 1.3248, further south if we break 1.3221
Could it just TANK for good?
