DislikedGood morning/afternoon/evening all. My SL was hit earlier today at 1.3200. After today, the market has a bearish sentiment. I am short at 1.3215 with a SL at 1.3265. As long as we don't close above 1.3255, the bears should have the advantage.
On a side note, stocks could use a good pull back. Normally, I would have my TP at 1.3015, for a 4:1 risk to reward trade. But instead, I am planing to hold my short EUR/USD position until the VIX (S&P 500 Volatility Index) reaches ~48 (which means a bottom is put in place). This could be 1.31,...Ignored
DislikedI was exactly telling a friend 5 minutes ago that usually i dont use SL or if i use i just place a number like 1000 or more pips...
Using SL's expose you in a range where all SL's will be hunted if someone decide to do that so that way i usually stay out of those huntings...
That order you are seeing there Stopped on a SL was the first with SL in the last 6 or maybe 12 months i believe!
When you are confident about your trading the SL is a security bridge between your intuition and the real facts. The thing is if you remove that...Ignored
DislikedI totally agree. I don't use stop losses either, never used one in my life. However I tend to build into positions, starting with smaller lots and throwing more weight in if the position moves against me to get the aggregate position closer to the price.
The fact that you use up to 60+ lots in one go relative to your account size blows my mind! I can see it getting out of control very quickly if you make one bad entryIgnored
