Thank you for your explanation realjumper, things are more clearer now. I believe that you had mentioned that you have a Ducati. I used to be an avid Italian sportsbike rider, had a Ducati 916, Aprilia Mille R, MV Agusta Brutale not all of the same time.

You're welcome. It takes a while to get the hang of it, but it's worth the effort. Stochastic has been around since 1950, so there must be something good about it!!

Nice bikes.....very nice. I still have my 900ss that I have had for 25 years, which I used to race as well. Today, she will still do 260km/h and standing start 1/4 mile in 11.9 seconds!! The bike is completely standard looking, but the engine has some good parts inside

Something I read which I thought was interesting so I wanted to share it with you guys!

"A bear chased two hikers.
One hiker, while being chased,
stopped to put on running shoes."

As he was changing out of his hiking boots, his companion looked at him in horror and exclaimed, “What in the world are you doing? You’ll never outrun the bear if you stop now!”

Calmly, the other hiker said, “I don’t have to outrun the bear. I just have to outrun you.”

The forex market offers more opportunity for fast financial success – and financial ruin – than almost any other market. The get-rich crowd has always been attracted to it. This crowd includes speculators, trading novices, retirees, and professionals looking for a way to get out of debt, increase the excitement in their lives, or simply get rich really fast.

These are the people who you will be taking money away from. These are the people who will be eaten by the bear. You don’t have to outrun the bear (the entire market). In fact, that’s impossible. You can’t beat the entire market. Those of you who try will learn fast that the market has no mercy, can outrun anyone, and shows no mercy.

I want to teach you how to run faster than the other traders.

The Four Groups

There are four groups in the forex market. There are the novice traders – the greenies, the ones who try to outrun the bear and lose every time.

In addition to the novice traders, there are three other levels of participation in the forex market: the dealers, the institutional traders, and the advanced traders.

The dealers are the most powerful and they make the market, setting prices and putting together deals.

The institutional traders work in banks, wire firms, or government agencies. They trade huge amounts of money at a time, and the size of their trades gives them enormous power.

Next, there are the advanced traders. This group is comprised of people from all across the world, sitting in smaller investment firms, offices, or even their homes. You can be a part of this group. In some cases, the advanced traders are the smartest group – trade for trade – than any other group. Because they don't move a lot of money on each trade, they don't have as much power as the institutional players. Because their trades are brokered by the dealers, they'll never have absolute trading power. But, because there are so many novice traders – the advanced traders have plenty of people that they can outrun. Your goal as a forex investor is to aggressively take money out of the pockets of the novice traders.

Don't feel bad about that. Someone's going to take your money along the way, and it's going to teach you, very quickly, lessons that can only be learned through failure. So, every time you take money from a novice trader, just remember: you're teaching him a valuable lesson. After a while, you might even enjoy watching your hiking companion being eaten by the bear.

yeah if the following day looks like a good continuation I just hop in as long as symphony produces a signal.. Doesnt matter how long the signal has been going for imo.. I also use TDI to filter my trades..

I always exit on a close of 4 opposite extremes..

also I only trade london and us as it offers the most liquidity

lol you guys are done trading before i even get started.. My hourly trades take atleast 4-5 hours to mature.. its fine by me though I get to watch some tv and eat breakfast =)

only up 7 so far for today.. hopefully I'll get atleast 50 out of a slow day like today

1.9micro is 1.9beta just minimized. rokz created the micro so it can be kinder to RAM. you can read the sat-sun posts to see why there's a 1.9micro

I downloaded your latest folder with indicators and template. The problem that I'm having with the matrix indicator is that the 2 lowest bars (emo-senti) are always blue and trend bar is black. It's not only with this version of the matrix indicator, all others have the same problem. Do you have any idea wath the problem could be? Alpari is my broker and all original Symphonie indicators are in my indicator folder.

maybe i should discard the pivot thinggy. and master targeting the right time to target s1/r1.

this pivot and S&R requires additional attention, eh?

maybe ill go back to my simple life of M5 to the direction of H1 and H1+M5 double up! lol
The only time I take pivots into account is if its just above/below, and not much room in case it bounces off of it, but with the amount of pips you're getting only about a month of live trading, I personally wouldn't change anything I'm doing

lol. okay so that's how you deal with pivots. thanks for sharing.

i suppose so. i just wanted to survive a real ranging market. although today, we had a limited range, AU,HU,EJ,UJ still had direction so its profitable.

yeah, why am i making my life difficult. let's keep it simple. M5 to the direction of H1 and H1+M5 then! kampai

market is sleepy. i suppose it will be sleepy til thursday. although, it looks like we have market movers tomorrow, the looming announcement seems to put a stall on everything. all currencies are posing, but not really making any move.
Wednesday is the British Budget speech so bits of that should move the market a little, depends if he has any surprises

H1 + M5 is a full signal on the hourly and then take trades in that direction on M5, as Evaluator does. Yelena takes the direction of the HA candle and 5ma (rj's method) as the direction on the hourly.
