Yes, I've seen forextester- might check it out.


Cable's not really clear to me- it's just consolidating at the moment. Also Fridays daily candle although bullish, closed just below the 200sma, and I see a possible shampoo/ quasimodo forming (we're on the right shoulder now). It may not play out, but that 200sma is holding for now.

Good spot on that little quasimodo/H&S. That long half setup from earlier was good in the end but no regrets, i'm happy taking the clearer setups right now.

Yes, that long would have grabbed a few! The weekly chart of cable is bullish, so that h&s may not play out- it was just me thinking aloud. Looking for longs on a retrace now. Strong close , broken out of consolidation

Trying a long from 150 on eu, 10 pip stop, not that keen on the trade. We will see.

We've retraced from the highs on cable, so have entered half a position off the 15min 21ema, and may add at the trendline if we go lower

Added another half as trendline held, and just closing that half here at 70 to lock in some profit

I've just got back from the school pickup, and see cable here, so have closed last quarter at the figure for 36 pips. Not wanting to hold any more, as the momentum isn't great. I'm going to take the cash and run for the hills!

Great stuff man! I just closed out my 2nd half. Looking at the daily not a bad place to exit on eu. Had a great few days so don't want to be greedy

Well traded boys, caught the best moves of the day between you. Been a little too busy with work today so not actually made a single entry yet.

I have now locked in 70 pips on my last third of my Euro trade from last week though and it's now at 170 pips.

Cheers man. True but they're a very, very rare beast. My historical problem was taking profit too early so it takes a while to get from there to being able to hold part of one for a long while.

What was you overall R/R on the GU trade?

It's kind of complicated to give an exact figure, especially with this syle of trading. I initially entered at 64, then added the other position at 58, so net entry of 61, SL was at 44 below the 50 ma's, so net stop was 17 pips, Final take profit was at 00 but only on a quarter, but it's doing my head in to work it out exactly!, Probably better than 1:1, and in hindsight I shouldn't have closed the first half at 70, but it was the second trade of the week after a -2pip loss, so I wanted to lock in some green, and if we could trade in hindsight, we'd all be millionaires!

Exactly! I don't tend to hold my first trade of the week very well generally, I like to start the week with profit so nothing wrong with any of that as far as I can see.
