Thanks, but I don't think so. Lots of posters here with 5 digit brokers. Anybody else with any bright ideas? Very frustrating to not have a working signaler. I might need to go back to an earier version, but I love the MTF feature...

Yes thats right, I very very rarely take repaint trades. They remind me of breakouts and I had a terrible time a couple of years ago trading breakouts.
Ok thank you. I was asking because I do not like taking breakout trades either and hoped I didn't need to in order to be successful. If you can make the pips that you do without taking repaint trades, then thats what I will do as well.

I'm very new here, and I have a question that may sound silly, but I honestly didn't find an answer (I have to admit I didn't really read ALL 9000+ posts in this thread).

The question is: how do these indicators work? From what I understand system consists of 4 indicators, but I didn't find any explanation about their "internals".

Is it "black box", we have to believe and we don't know how this work?

Yeah 5 digit broker isn't the problem I have one.

Also i had this same problem but the v2 fixed it. Not sure why it hasn't fixed yours. Weird.

Maybe you should see if your mt4 is updated to the latest version. I think it's 416 now.

As you already got an answer, repainting issues have been discussed especially during the first 1-2 months apon the introduction of the system.
A short answer from me is that you don't care!
You trade what you see.
If at a specific moment you have everything in favour to take a trade, you just take it!
What happens later (ie repainting) no one knows AT THAT MOMENT.

PS When I say everything in favour, I do not mean of course just the alignment of the four indis...

Sometimes it helps if you compile the mq4 file in your metaeditor, in this case I guess the extreme indicator that the signaller draws upon. Try that.

i had a wonderful chat with Hugo (ManilaSpurs - thank you!) and he raised something i never saw coz i never looked at any other charts other than H1.

but every time 1.9 signals, i make screen captures. and here's what i i saw which he highlighted (see 2 attachments).

for the last 13 business days, 'all red' occurred' 5x and hit the support prices in the ff currency pairs:

EU S1 5x
EU S2 3x
EU S3 2x

AU S1 hit 5x
AU S2 hit 3x
AU S3 hit 2x

GU S1 hit 4x
GU S2 hit 3x
GU S3 hit 2x

EJ had 2 days down in D1 that was trending upwards
EJ R1/S1 hit 7x
EJ R2/S2 hit 4x
EJ R3/S3 hit 2x

and yes, friday was an kinda "all blue" and just refer to your charts up to what resistance levels those currencies reached.

so when symphonie gives you an M5/M15 signal to the direction of H1, H4 and D1, you can likely aim for S1/2 or R1/R2 and exit the day with profits.

if you ask me, S1/R1 was hit 100% on the days "the stars aligned" im not being greedy but logic dictates that i can open 1-MM-full-sized-order per currency pair and aim only for S1/R1 and double my account in 1 day (or maybe 3 days of the same occurrence). the trend is currently "changing for EU,AU,GU, but the the upward trend for EJ is continuing therefore, the "stars are likely to align" in EJ.

this weekend, maybe it can help you can spot for currencies that are currently trending in D1 and plug a 1.9 in M5/M15 that has extraSignalTf set to 60.

i never thought 1.9 could be this handy! thank you again Lio! although i cannot vouch for you for the 2nd time

in lieu, may i ask someone who has programming background to redo 1.9 and remove all the "confirmations" and M1? this is to conserve the RAM it uses. please keep ext, trend,emo,senti and the extraSignal TF, everything default as originally designed by lio.

we can then place it in mini boxes for currencies trending in D1 and position accordingly.

talk about high-probability trading!

i was thinking of keeping this thought to myself. but eval said, the more people would take the same position as we do, the more reliable the trades become. at the end of the day, this is a selfish endeavor. and hopefully, everyone who gets to read this would likely be able to profit from it as well.

now, how about that new 1.9?

very good observations.

Can you help me to the post where I can find your settings for S1.9beta.

When I change default to 1-3-2 and cci to 20 as I use in M5 settings.
It change the signals a lot in S1.9beta.
So I am not sure if I chould use the same settings as I use for my M5 setup.

Hope some off this make sence.

You would need the mq4 file of the signaller to be able to do that, and as far as I know Lio has only put the ex4 file up.

Thank you. If you look at my trade durations there's only 2 trades that went on for 2 days, most of my trades are opened and closed within the same day (24H) period and yes I do use a stop loss as per first post on this thread. Symphonie has been very nice to me.
Hi yelena I like using the pivots but not really for tp.. 1.9 is a great help and I might add that I dont really follow strict mm. I just like taking a position that is highly in my favor. When I find that d1 on 1.9 is trending the same direction it puts more odds on my side

As long as I know how much risk I'm taking on then I don't mind placing full size positions. But not too many. Usually not more than 10%

You raise some good points. For sure, system hopping will empty your bank account!! Obviously I haven't looked at all the systems available here at FF, let alone in the big wide world, but from what I have tested, I think the majority of systems in fact do work as the designer intended.

The two 'rules' seem to be: Does the system suit me?....and....if so, I must stick to it and learn it intimately because we are going to be together for ever.

Too many people try a system for a few days and to their horror, they find that they didn't make a million dollars yet so the system *must* suck, and they move onto the next system.....or....they find that they cannot adapt themselves to the system, so they consider themselves at stupid and look for an easier system!

Both approaches are wrong. Firstly, the system must suit you. You cannot adapt yourself to the system, nor should you try to do so. The person who authored the system has an individual personality and if your personality is completely different, the chances are that you wouldn't much like the person if you met them, and that their system won't suit you.

You need to find a system that suits you. Once you find it, learn it inside out. For instance, this system of Evals is basically very simple to use, but to be able to use it well, might take 6 months or more of testing, tweaking or otherwise messing about with, until you know the system backwards and in your sleep. Once you know the system that well, you will already have faith in it......once you have faith in the system, you are making consistent profits.

So you need to have a system that suits you.

You need to know the system intimately in order to have faith in it. When you have the faith, you will be profitable.

It really is that simple

Things become much simpler when you realize and accept that trading is a probabilities game, nothing else. All we need to do is be patient enough to put the odds to our favor.

I've been studying this method for nearly 4 days now. Family no longer recognizes me. Need food, bath, sleep. Well, not quite that bad.

I understand that there is repainting on 5m Symphonie Extreme (I'm using original, not V2). What I would like to know is how severe this is. I've only had old stale weekend charts to look at and every Extreme spike I see is sound, going back about 5 weeks.

I am using what I believe are current settings because I got them from post #1.

My question is how reliable are old spikes on 5m euro charts?

When you're backtesting you need to use the extreme indicator I've attached to this post. Where you see dots that is where an extreme was and then repainted, if the spike is still there then it was there at the time, it only repaints if price goes above/below the spike. Put it onto the same settings you will want to use in the matrix or signaller.
