C is on the verge of an upside breakout while WLP is on the verge of a break down after support was tested multiple times.

Simple technical analysis is what I used for my trade setups, heres a setup in CDE a gold and silver mining company. the daily trendline was had broken at point number 1, a failed attempt to fill the gap down below the 200 daily moving average at point number 2 and a double bottom exactly at the middle of the range. I am looking for a break below this double bottom at 25.25 and point number 3 for a short setup.

With EUR/USD approaching 1.3000 fast, I cant help but be careful today. The german numbers came out way above expectations and yet the EUR sells off like a falling brick. Positive news and nagative reaction can't be good for the markets. I will be paying attention to both sides today while being extra cautious on my longs due to the EUR/USD while being extra cautious with my shorts due to the fact that these markets are to make multi year highs, specifically the NASDAQ. Should the EUR/USD continue to sell of this way, I expect a breach to multi year highs then followed by heavy selling. This is just one scenario, another scenario is for the market to continue going higher while ignoring the EUR/USD and the dollar in general. I am setting these scenarios to prepare myself for any kind of environment.

C broke out and had a very bullish day. Key to note that volume was double the average volume while closing in the top third of its range. We also got a breakdown in the SPY/XLF chart which would indicate that the XLF (financial sector) is set to outperform the SPY (S&P 500 ETF).

SCSS after my entry @ 18.93

Meanwhile, while Greece was busy causing mayhem in the FX markets, here is what SCSS did over the past couple of months. Awesome move where the stock price almost tripled after forming that double bottom at the 200 SMA.

XLF has continued to outperform the SPY as the breakdown has continued to gather momentum. WFC is on my watch list for now as a multi year breakout looms in the horizon, the breakout along with the fact that the XLF is outperforming at the moment is a good reason to be long should WFC breakout and hold above its key level.

Interactive brokers can't compete with lightspeed when it comes to commission heres why:

100 shares of stock XYZ at lightspeed would cost you $1.00 +- market center fees. If you add liquidity you can earn a rebate sending you commission down $.8 if you take liquidity and hit the offer or bid you get charged and you end up paying $1.2. If you trade with Lightspeed through their direct access, you significantly reduce commissions.

100 shares of stock XYZ at Interactive Brokers would cost you $2.5 am not sure whether you can earn rebates or not with them but the fact remains that you pay $2.5 per trade, a round trip (where you buy and sell) would cost you $5.00 per for 100 shares of the stock.

Now if your a day trader and you average 20000 shares a month, the numbers add up and commissions eat a large chunk off of your account.

As for quality and overall services, IB is currently number one. As for execution and commission lightspeed comes out on top. Lightspeed is a platform for trading, not for research. A recent full review can be found here of all US brokers.

Totally wrong in what sense? The cost plus or flat rate? You can contact them directly and ask them how much it costs to trade 100 shares . Then contact Lightspeed and get their prices, I might be wrong, you never know even though I am pretty certain lightspeed is way cheaper then IB.

CREE was pummeled during recent months and has currently formed a base between (31.50 & 20.00). A breakout to the upside above 31.50 seems imminent. The stock is also already above the 200 and 50 DMA's and has formed a cup and handle pattern.

Fundamentally speaking the, I took a snapshot at CREE's financial position and the company seems to be sound, my thoughtscan be found on the snapshot.

The 31.50 level was taken out like a hot knife through butter, I didn't expect a reaction this fast

One of my ideas for today is this AET which has been consolidating for days, volatility looms on the horizon for this stock, epecially after yesterdays inside day. A break in either direction could be a nice day trade. I will also be looking for a break and failure in either direction to play the trade in the direction of the failure. Failure to follow through below yesterdays high or low when yesterday was an inside day usually results in explosive moves.

We got news one AET, lets see if it acts as a catalyst to this consolidating price action. I personally expect to see volatility today in AET.

After the gap down due to the down grade in my previous post, I traded AET and exited without my stop being hit for a small lose for the following reasons.

We did see volatility after consolidation, AET also broke out and DIDN'T fail for 2 days. Unfortunately, I missed it yesterday when it took out the highs.

MOS- Support tested multiple times, if the level continues to be tested a breakdown is imminent.

POT-Resistance tested multiple times, if the trendline continues to be tested a breakout past 47.00 is imminent.
