hi buddy you ok. your right with the 4 hour time thread it cuts the noise. i have been trying out a new easier system than ib and directional movement using the 15 min chart and voila i am almost 400 pips up in 9 days , maybe its luck lol. take care

Anybody trading crude? Just closed nice long after comment stating that emergency oil would not be released for another 6 months. After initial panic sell this I expected would drive the price up by a good 50 or 60 points.

Did anybody else get this blip on their USDX chart? A sudden drop to just below 80.

And thats it for me for couple of hours folks. 0,25% loss. Bearable, as I really didnt believe this line will hold. Now I am waiting for 1,3177 - 1,3182, so bye.

In a past life (as an equity trader) I found a book that talked about indication candles and started to look around in my daily scans for them. An Indication Candle is one that has a long wick (more than twice the body length) which points to the direction the stock will move to. Now I know this is Forex and not yet a convinced to their occurance here, but I thought I would share two articles I wrote over a year ago about them in a newsletter I used to publish.

The first one talks about the setup for the stock and article concludes the trade I made on it.

Love to hear your comments on it and if you believe them to be existant in Forex trading.

Yeah I've seen it happen in forex but it's rare. Usually happens during major news like ECB rate statements and US NFP

Hmmm, don't you want to wait until price settle down...
I had my SELL order but cancled it seeing 4H candle.
Now waiting for price to "relax and calm"

Good question. Not sure I would call it a H/S. At best a malformed one. However I do expect gold to make a lower low.

Could be. But still holding my long. News out that US has some work to do to recover their AAA rating (from S&P News) and gold just flying right now. This could drag USDX to that 80.000 level.
