Still got half my EG long running at the moment, as the 1hr50sma/15min 200sma seems to be holding cable cable back. Spain sounds great- I worked in northwest Spain for a couple of years once- fantastic lifestyle- I loved the siestas, and eating out after concerts, but they had more rain than Cardiff!

I'll bet they were! Once you are trading for a living as a member of the EU, I simply can't see any real reason to stay here with the climate we have. My lady is in dentistry and there are teeth all over Europe Can't see any reason not to do it so just case of building my account and waiting for the market to be right over there.

By the way, the volume is really low today for some reason so maybe we shouldn't expect too many big moves. Could be a scalping day. Just took 10 off GU, waiting to see what happens in the second half of that.

Morning, got stopped on my half position long on EG yesterday while I was at work for a net loss of 11 pips. Looking at the daily chart, it was looking bearish, so not a great trade- I should have cut the remaining half at -10 rather that -22 to make it a net breakeven. Oh well, one to learn from. I was working late yesterday in Bristol, so wan't up early enough to catch this retest of the trendline (green arrow), but am trying a short up here off the upper trendline and its also my weekly pivot

Very, very nice trade that pal. I looked at that area early this morning and did think about sticking a po there (but didn't). just got back from an appointment so a little miffed to have missed a very nice confluence area (50 fib from recent swing too). Glad you hit it though

Hey thanks, Trotty. the more I trade Eo's method, the more I realise that you just have to take entries as you see them and if they don't work move on to the next- for me it's a question of getting past the fear factor, particularly with exits. I'm now looking at taking shorts off the 4hr trendline, and the driver is that 15 min pin on the left hand side of my last chart.

Something to note here.

Yesterday's daily close was bullish after Monday's close was weak and scarcely below our ppa line. This looks a little like a false breakout/rejection off that level for now.

Today, we have come down and tested that previous line again but this time, rejected on the line without penetrating it. This may suggest that there more to come north here.

Just an idea to throw out there.

That's exactly right.

If you take all the valid setups as you see them, you won't just do well overall, you will do staggeringly well. PipiNole was the clear test case for this. In a short period of time he just "got on with it", taking the setups as per the method and the pips just started rolling in. Once they start rolling in, the fear vanishes and trading becomes fairly routine. You just need to keep the greed in check and make sure you are always finding smart places to take profit.

They real key to the monster, monster gains that we can make this way is to understand how the timeframes work together. If you get a super H1/H4 close in your favour and you are in a trade, just hold on to that mother and manage it as if you were a swing/position trader. Keep taking your M15 scalps along the way but any trades that are going the way of that position trade, take a little off and add the rest on to that longer term trade and then manage them in the same way. You can build awesome positions this way. I am a million miles off being able to do that with consistency myself but i'm working on it all the time.

Great post, Trotty. You're spot on there (and right that it's one thing knowing this, but a competely different matter to actually DO it!).

With the daily chart, yes I was watching that, but I see a lot of sellers on the 4 hr in the 5720-40 area. See that mutha of a pin that I have put the checkmark against. That's still in play until it gets takeb out, so right now we are in no mans land, boxed in and I see shorts off the upper trendline and longs off the lower trendline 5660ish but we might see PA for an entry before that if there is enough R:R to justify.

Cheers bud. The pin you are talking about, is that on your H4? I have one on mine as well but it's so big, it looks weird, lol.

Agree though, definitely plenty of people selling at 574x area so we need a close above that to be sure of any more longs, we just need to keep in mind as many pointers as we can until we get a clear signal of sentiment.
