Just patient trading. Anyone can do it... just wait for the setups, don't hunt them.

First of all I would like to thank LawGirl and PipPete for all their hard work in answering questions and displaying charts. I have been trading for about 7 years with 4 of them in a live account.

Question: For the BO trade strategy, when I see the lines drawn on the "first four candles" I am trying to figure out which four candles those are. It looks to me like in the chart they are just the beginning of the "day" which on my platform is 0:00 GMT or 6:00pm local time (I am in the middle US). Does that mean that I look for a channel on the first four candles for 6, 7, 8, 9 o'clock central time. Not sure that makes sense to me. Help me understand. I read in one of the posts that it is the first four hours of your broker's day. I have no idea what that is. My broker is Interbank FX if that helps. Thanks in advance.

Hi All,

I've noticed this thread and spent a week reading it from the very beginning. I'd like to demo it for a while.

Attached is my view on GU. All RSIs are down and 3rd tap happened. But isn't it too late to enter as the support level is too close?

You're absolutely right. That's my fault. I'll post the updated picture later. That was H4 and downtrend 3 tap.

But I wonder if this thread is still alive as I can't see no more messages from the threadstarter Does anybody look after the thread? I find it very interesting and gonna try it on demo so I'll appreciate any help from the followers.

PipPrince,

this subject was discussed earlier in this thread. First look at what time your broker starts the day - when is built your first H1/H4-candle. Second check, if this corresponds with open of Asian session.

Best solution is to start with open of Asian session, so you'll start after London open, which will have a continuation of the 'overnight'-session or an opposed move.

phi1ipp,

some threads are very successful, getting 5 stars and nonetheless die after some time. LG's last activity was dec 2011. She started this and her 2nd observed and excellent rated thread. After explaining the (simple) strategies and many, many chart examples there is only one way to continue a thread with successful ideas. Contributors aren't allowed to stop publishing. I am convinced, most of the main contributors as well as LG are still trading this method.

If you are looking back, there only were 2-3 traders which gave examples until -it seems- there was no more interest, because discussions dying also.

If you have a working strategy, if all is said, what to say at the end?

I think, ALL questions are answered in the thread, of course, it's hard work to read this . But I recommend to do it, it's worth the time.

Also, you may read, that a realistic P/L is about 6-12% per month, if you are good to excellent in your necessary abilities to trade. There still is a large part of starting traders / newbies, who have a plan do double their account in short time. For them may be this thread is not a thread good enough.

Congratulations to Lawgirl !!!

Incredibly profiting trading technique. Not easy as it looks at a first glance, but once you learn what to do, you realize that there's no better trading system on this forum than this. (IMHO)

I would like some people kept up with this thread.
and I hope LG will show up sometimes.

There is a nice, promising consolidation going on since yesterday on eur/usd.

I have a question for those trading profitably with the strategies in this thread.

Do you find that the 3 tap method or the H1 4 candle breakout is a better and more profitable strategy?

Thank you,
Greg

Would someone who is successfully trading the 3 tap setup give me your opinion of this setup?

Short GBPJPY based on H4 chart

The weekly RSI is pointed down.
The high tail on the current bar indicates good PA and rejection at the trend line.

My stop will be 15 or 20 pips above the high of 129.06. Is this too tight?
Are the 3 taps too far apart? They are about 3 days apart.

Thank you in advance for your advice,
Greg

Hello Greg
I have been trading both methods for the past three months, I paper traded for a week or so, then went live. I have had good results from both. The 1hr 4 candle breakouts are my bread and butter. But that is not to say that I pass a good 3 tap trade when I see one. One thing I will say is I stuck to 2-3 pairs at the start, I now look at about 5. But the system works, give it time.

Regards
Aj
