This was for E/Y, the others were very similar.

My TP was too low though, but I wasnt able(timewise) to manage and let the trade(s) run further.

I think the entry is pretty clear.

I have actually measured the screenshots to come to this conclusion. The proportion will hold true no matter your monitor size.
You can set the indicator window size to the MT4 default simply by presing the 'CTRL'+'A' keys at the same time.
This will resize the height of the chart and indicators windows to the proportion by default.

If you want to know the actual reading of the indicator lines like TDI RSI PL and TSL, open your Data Window and read those price data there.

The slope and angles of indicator lines are relative to the data and periods of the formula used in calculation. TDI green is period 13, the TSL is period 7. Visually, the slope and angle can be deceiving if your do not know how to look at it in relation to the past volatility.
Whatever that means? You need to figure that out and know the strength and benefits in using this hybrid indicator called TDI.
The price structure and price action on your chart is always your leading indicator.
Follow that closely and not put too much emphasis on trade entry paying too much attention on oscillators which tell you the most recent past.

Emmanuel, you are indeed correct on how to resize,(basic mt4) and it does give you the correct proportion but only if you have the 2 windows. Should have thought of it myself.

However it seems like many on this thread do not keep it pure and the minute the trader adds additional indicators they need to keep the proportion at the level previously stated for the TDI window to be accurate.

Not disagreeing with your fine post but clarifying.

I'm new to the thread, and only went through the first 120 pages, so I'm not sure if someone had already brought this to your attention.

This is a research that will back up X-man's reason for drawing a horizontal line 1 to 2 hours prior to the London's open. Take a look at this research:

You can verify this for yourself, add an ATR(14) to your 1hr chart. You will notice that the ATR value is often at its lowest of the day at around 1AM EST (2 hrs before London Open) and starts going up from there to its peak value at around Noon-1PM EST. This works like clockwork for 4 of the 6 major pairs (E/U, U/Cad, U/Swiss, GBP/U)

That's a good entry and good trading.
Pity you weren't available to manage this one and ride it.
Just to note, that the range for this pair has been quite narrow so the profit taken is good enough. We never know when the breakout would happen. One way is to take partial profit or protect at BE, then set final TP to 5 times your initial R or 2 x H4 range.
No matter what happes, you still have portion of your trade in profit and a free trade.

sarmatius, great post, i can relate to what you are saying. I too had a great rewarding career and when i discovered Forex 3 years ago i wanted to be at my home office trading instead of being at my work office. Very frustrating when i would get home and see some losses because i wasn't able to control my trades or missed the trends then had to read about how everyone else made money, i also like to trade the H1.
I also didn't need to trade but like you it was and still is a challenge because now that i have retired comfortable i am trading stress free. Whatever money i make is used for traveling and financing my retirement adventures, that way i don't have to touch my retirement funds.
Hang in there buddy, you will be there one day if you still have the desire to trade.

i use the "Sdx-TzPivots2b" (1st pic) lots of options, but found a new simple cleaner Pivot indi "Pivot_DOTS" (linked pic) and for the "Round#50Levels" Indi (linked pic) that one i tried and it's clean similar to yours. i added the "AutoPivotIndicator_ver5" this one has Daily-Weekly-Monthly with options to add or remove viewable levels (this one creates lines on the whole chart but theres options to change colors to make it less disturbing)



EDITED added another good Pivot i had but forgot about it "TzPivotsD" (2nd pic)

No worries mate! I fully understand what you meant.

My post was for the many who are not familiar with MT4 and some basic shortcut stuff may help them. Learning to use any platform is a challenge while we are learning to trade at the same time.

i just renamed it to make it more obvious because it's "Round Numbers" i like it tho it makes the charts clean and not over cluttered with lines.

Just want to say sorry to those I may have offended with my recent brash posts. I took a much needed break from the charts to clear my head and have a new appreciation from what the senior members have been saying. The number of loosing trades really got to me. (I think 20 in a row)

I remember that once I saw one indicator posted by Xaphod and find that by making slight modifications it may suit my style of trading.

There are three versions 1) RN 10, 2) RN 20 & 3) RN 50 for grid spacing of 10, 20 and 50 pips and they are posted somewhere in FF.
let's see what happens.

Hi,

Back in the Trading Made Simple thread there was quite a bit of discussion on this. I believe BigE advised to take your chart to maximum zoom then click back 2 zoom levels to get the TDI angles to the right view for the method.
I don't think there is any reason that advice would have changed.

Thanks all of you guys for the job to find a good pivot indi, I been reading everyday your post and I'm learling so much, my only problem is to be awake at 2 or 3 am EST to get the LO, I'll try tonight...
