Hi phx

Is that an indicator that draws the short green Round Number lines on the right?

The one I use draws lines across the full width just adding clutter, so if you could post it - many thanks.

(or tell me its name?)

I think is because red and green line was almos together. Remember the clock, 12 to 2.
just wonder how we trade the green tdi if im looking for the 12 to 2 position as at different zooms ect it stretches or bunches up is there a correct way to view it?

Entry on trade1 was made based on the separation of the green TDI line from the red TDI line.....I saw the red pullback candle but the previous 10 candles before that one, had wicks at both ends...indicating consolidation and I wanted to see some separation of the green line from the red line before entering a trade. Look at the TDI line during the Asian session...it crossed over but did not separate in either direction for several hours.
Even if you had entered at the 1st blue candle, it would have also given you +50 pips.

That is understandable, but was I correct in a more conservative s3 method we would wait for that candle because it is the first one for new york and we only want to really trade before that on the first 3 candles of london?

I haven't found a pivot indicator that I like either. I go to the H4 chart and draw my own S&R lines. I just posted the Round Number indicator and am attaching the Daily High/Low indicator to this post.

Hi phx62,

I entered at the break of support on the 5am est red candle as shown in my chart. I put a TP of 45 pips just before the next major support level.

+45 pips on my first eur/usd 1hr trade.

There was a previous post with the Pivot_DOTS indicator that will place the pivots cleanly on the right side of the charts with no lines crossing the charts. It gives clear levels as well as the interim steps (m1,m2, m3 etc). It can be found in the attachments.
Not sure on which TF you took this trade. I have attached the chart and I don't see any down trend at any TF.

I suggest to go slow in terms of taking trade. In other words when you see a setup look for reasons not to trade and if you find none only then take a trade. I know it is a slow and painful process but I am sure over the period of time you eyes will be trained to spot the good setup within seconds.

I don't know if this has been addressed elsewhere but my observation of those successfully using the TDI indicator is their charts seem to be set 1 step from maximum zoom and then have the TDI window be about 1/3 of the screen.

I have actually measured the screenshots to come to this conclusion. The proportion will hold true no matter your monitor size.

Went short when BEOB appears (yellow arrow). In a long haul trade and would like see price go upto 85.66.

Phx62, Chiche, you might try these pivot indicators. see what you think? One point, if you use them on a black background screen you will need to change the colour of the PP as it's default colour is black (I use Dim Grey).

I've read and then reread your post several times and I thank you dearly for your kind and masterful words.You have altitude.And I actually just think that, I really dont deserve such attention...

As usual the good pages and posts from FF get a place in my long list of bookmarks under the Forex folder.Your post has its deserved place and I'll actually print it(as it also quotes my own post).

After a few months of struggling and fighting(with myself of course), finding myself literally shouting at the monitor because of a very inflated EGO, I've suddenly stopped and asked myself...

Wait a second, why do you act like this ?You have a great career, why all the stress with trading?!
Do you like trading? I've answered YES to myself...
Why do you like it so much?Because it defines me so much...It lets me to be actually me.
Then I begun to realise I do this for passion primarily not for money, and perhaps I'm fortunate I'm not chasing money when trading but a way of expressing myself, freely!To hear my words and take my decisions undisturbed AT ALL.

Then try this attitude, I've said to myself, or stop selfdestructing you being consumed by a combo of ego, anger and fear..

From now on, its a play, a challenge were I try to champion the game letting the EGO at the door!
The market is def, blind, does not feel for you or for anyone else.No matter how much you shout at the market, how much you rage, it just wont listen to you.Its just like a big dragon that wont even notice you but gives free rides home.You should not try to stay in his way though!

Then the things cant be so nice in life and I noticed I still have a real problem with trading, my most actual and relevant trading tragedy..
My tragedy ? Well I have an already very developed career that wont let me trade regularily (I like H1 timeframe the most) and that makes me even more passionate about this sport.

And I'd even dare to have an advice for all the traders out there that actually have a go to learn and trade.LOVE IT, be passionate about it, you're fortunate enough that you have a precious commodity at your disposal, perhaps the most precious one.The time!To learn, trade and succeed.

Time will tell if life will actually allow me to join your gang.
