If the market is preparing for more downside while waiting for the next releases, I'd not be surprised to see the price suddenly spiked up before more downside. No telling if this will happen, nor how high if it does. But chart is marked with first logical area the market might push up the price to, which coincides with EP zone for original Sonic R. short setup.

Entered short (EP= 1.3320). Added this short on the pullback up to EP zone of the original Sonic R. short setup.

Possibly a Sonic R. short setup is forming.

Edit: Market is pumping price up (shorting?). If this does not breakout up then the market is shorting, and it should turn out to be a darn good short trade (2nd pic.). Yes, an improper wave, but it happens that way sometimes.

The trade is still running, and is negative about 20 pips at the moment. I'm relatively protected as I have a stop set, and I'm only trading an .01 mini account to get the feel for live trading.

The parameters all looked good except for one thing, at the time I entered the trade. I'll go into detail about that when I post the trade later. All was progressing well for a while, and then it just fizzled out. I could close it now and just take the loss, but I figure since it's such a small risk, I will just let it run it's course and then analyze it afterwords.

You never know, it could surprise me and turn back before it reaches the stop.



ADDENDUM - from the time I started writing this post, the price suddenly shot back up close to the entry point. It may survive after all. Time will tell for sure!

(This kind of feels like wading in shark-infested waters)

Naw! Bernanke is just showing how the sneaky, rich bastard market manipulators are only going to push up the price just a small bit while building their EU short positions larger!

EU at major H4 and D1 support, not good place to seek short.
If Bernanke give clear hints of QE3 is unlikely, PA may break down this level. but the chance of happening is very low.
I would perfer to wait for chance to long here

This emphasizes again the fact that nobody can know which way until it starts. Got to admit, though, H4 sure looks like a short setup with "major selling" being the last word from the market....

FF shows Bernanke starts talking at 10:00am.

Usually, how long does he talk for before it finishes ?

Then after he finishes, is there any other significant person talking as well straight after him?

How long does the whole meeting usually finishes ?

Still talking. That would make it an hour+ so far. Maybe until 12 noon EST? And who knows when the market will reveal it's true sentiment afterwards.

Sorry about that, I moved my sl to BE immediately as it was the news time, unfortunately my sl was hit with 0 pips It was a big wave though, now I see the nzd pairs are the strong ones, I expect weak cad, yen and usd .

Please go back and revise your post to include the trade completion chart (and then you can delete your immediately preceding post to cut down on unnecessary postings). Readers cannot possibly take just written info into comprehension as quickly and as accurately as a posted picture can allow them to do so. This is a very large thread/manual. Please make your trade posts worth something in the educational process provided here for all.

Like Master Sonicdeejay says, "No pic, no post!" And this especially goes for posted trades! If you care enough to post the start of a trade, then care enough to post the management thru to completion of the trade; with well annotated charts.

Doesn't matter how long (unless Bernanke is getting paid by the hour, ). Forget about trying to figure out timing of market responses. The market is too smart to follow established routines.

Hi..,

I feel today Market did most of us by ranging when there were big news releases.., it was just range, range, and range, and before i knew it.., it was late and i feel only SonicDeejay (who i suspect is very close to Bernanke) was unscathed
