looks like there is some bearish divergence on 4hr macd. now price is approaching 50 sma on 4hr and 200 sma on 1hr. probably a good place to close short positions and wait for a bounce signal using stochastic as cycle indicator.

...resistance is strong above @1.3346

Question for everyone.

Was wondering what indicators people use for tick charting?

I normally use RSI, and ADX only for 5 min and higher charts, but never really looked at the ticks too often. Was wondering on everyones thoughts on what to put on a tick chart, for those scalpers.

tick time-frame isn't going to make much of a chart. for one the data is going to be inconsistent. you need at least a 1 min timeframe to make any sort of chart. another it's just too fast to be practical - you might as well just look at level 2 quotes. by the time your trade is executed you will have a new condition.

i agree. i don't go any lower than 1-min chart. if you want a tick-chart, if you use MT4, when you open the window right before you order, there's a live tick chart there on the left screen

I am scalping on M1, but I watch at once M1, M5, M15 and H1.

Also, if you're scalping you don't really really need indicators, because price action is too fast to be calculated quickly, because you're trading price action. In my opinion, indicators probably work better on longer TFs

Forget the monthly.....even the weekly and daily still implies that we are madcow bullish. This is just a small retracement for the next boner till 1.3520. I have opened a long at 1.3338. This is more than a scalp this is a position i plan to hold out.

I too agree, but I normally dont scalp, and was thinking of getting into it. Ill work on both the 1 min and the tick to see how I feel with each.

Looks like PA will float around the 3340 level for a while. Still no reason to go long or close shorts imo.
