Hi Al,

I'm just wondering if you are still using the 5x5 ea to get in your trades? I don't think you are because you are using the recovery trade system. From what you've seen with this system what percentage of your trades would have been stopped out if you had used a stop?

Hi Al and all others contributing, I’ve been following this thread with interest though no trades based on the system yet. Good work, constructive discussion, thanks.
The only thing I could suggest at this stage is for TMA slope to change colour not only when crossing 0 line, but also when reversing, ie if a bar closes below the previous one when it trends up and vice versa, similar to this attached MACD OsMA.

I don´t use the EAs because, as you said, I use Recovery. I get consistently better entries on all trades than with the EA. I would have to say that a good 20% of trades may get stopped out with tight (20 pip) SL. Remember, we are looking to catch a turn for our trades. That produces a lot of retests at the top or bottom of the move, anyone of which may trigger your stop loss. If you use SL, I would place it above the previous high (Short) or below the previous low (Long), not just an arbitrary number of pips. Then you should only be stopped out about 10% of the time or less.

Thanks for straightening me out on who did what! Hard to keep up, as I said.

I must be about as obsessive as you are. I just added the advice you gave Pedross to my doc complete with chart!
It might help someone who just came on board.

I have two chairs (canvas, not leather) in my living room like the one in front of the monitors. They rock! (literally) I actually sleep in one at night with a foot stool! Easy to get to the computer that way!

Nice suggestion. Another possibility is to paint an arrow right above the bar that changes direction. That way we don´t have a rainbow of colors going on. It could get confusing with so many colors. Any volunteers to add two arrows, one green pointing up when the Slope changes direction higher and one red pointing down when it changes direction lower? If you work on this, remember to do it with the 1.2 version indi which is the one we are currently using.

I am having trouble trimming down the number of pairs to watch, right now I am at 11 and I try to keep ones with lowest spread.

If you have to pick 9 pairs what would they be?

1) Eliminate the 1-Wk and 1-Mo rows to save space.

It causes we get more ready for clicking the best pairs to trade and we will get better concentration on the bests !

EurUsd, UsdJpy, GbpUsd, GbpEur, UsdCad, UsdChf, EurAud, AudUsd, EurGbp.

Could someone please write down the range for trading the TMA slope?- I'm not very good at math.
It says -0.51 and below for shorts - what is the range for this.... Where does -0.11526 fit in. Is this below 0.51?

I'd really appreciate some help.

It is -0.5 to -1.0 for shorts and 0.5 to 1.0 for longs.
