assuming this is winter time to match up 8am - 5pm GMT but times are not the same.

I truly respect everyone's trading opinion here, but I'm beginning to feel a bit "on edge" with the direction this is taking.
Of course, I can understand each of your viewpoints, and can accept them for their value, but come on guys.....feel the love!
Everything that TAH has provided us (amazing chart templates, commentary) has aided me in my approach to trading, and has given me enough confidence to take the next step and go live to further my trading education.
I also respect your opinions and your additions to the thread Alrightfrank. But seriously folks, can't we all just get along (before the thread is brought to a sudden stop)?

I for one would greatly miss TAH's contributions if he suddenly decided enough is enough. You must admit he has poured his heart into this thread, to the benefit of us all.
Suffice it to say that we are ALL after the same thing - more wins than losses. That isn't to say that a loss is necessarily a bad trade, assuming we followed the SonicR rules to the letter. Not every trade will be a winner, but EVERY trade should be GOOD trade, meaning we followed the rules and applied all the required parameters to the trade. A win or a loss is irrelevant, to a certain degree.
The SonicR method provides us with a framework upon which we build our trades. The beauty of it is, we no longer have to guess or react to our "feelings" about what will happen. We don't know - we can't know - so we follow the PA.
It is apparent that following the SonicR method of trading, as spelled out in the guide, is the most effective way to go. We need to throw out all the bad habits, and the things that don't work, and follow the rules!

I see you trading the Eur/Jpy. Here´s a little tip - try adding the Usd/Nok pair
onto your charts. They move in the opposite directions of each other. Just an
extra confirmation

Since we are dealing with two "major players" in the market (London and NY) it is most relevant to consider when they sit down at the table to place their bets, and when do they leave.
London sits down at the table at 8am their local time and leaves the table at 5pm their local time, all year round. This is where we derived the placement of the Lo and Lc vLines from. And, except for those twice yearly periods where there is a discrepancy of an hour, this equates to 3am EST to 12 noon EST.
Why then, does Sonicdeejay refer to starting trading at 1am EST until 4am EST, and then again from 7am EST to 11am EST?
1am EST is two hours before the London open and one hour before the Frankfurt open, but it coincides with when the other parts of europe and elsewhere open for trading. Sonicdeejay will have to respond himself as to why he selected this particular time as the recommended start of trading, however earlier than the London open does not mean better than at the London open. In fact, the Frankfurt open is noted for it's "Frankfurt Head fakes"! Do setups form within several hours before LO? Yes. In fact, setups frequently form at various times throughout the asian session. Does that mean good trading? Sometimes, but usually it does not. The LO is when the biggest european players sit down at the table, and so that is why the Lo vLine now marks the start of trading. And should Master Sonicdeejay ever recommend otherwise it should be easy to make an adjustment to the Sonic R. template.
4am EST, an hour after the LO, is I guess when Sonic figured those players had already placed their first round of bets. So, leave the table and come back at 7am EST, an hour before the NY open, which is when those players might be setting up for their second round of betting.
11am EST is an hour before the London close and before lunch in NYC. Big Players and bankers leave early!

To start, we must realize that twice a year, at the changeovers between DST and non-DST, there is a change in the time difference of one hour between EST and London (UK) time. This difference might last for as many as three weeks or for as few as just one week. And we must keep in mind the key is not GMT, but rather 8am London local time (London is on GMT during the non-DST season, wintertime in the northern hemisphere, and is an hour ahead of GMT during the DST season, summertime). For some more clarification on the Lo indicator, London session is from 3am - 12pm EST always, and GMT right now during the winter is 8am GMT - 5pm GMT. I am using IBFX for my demo testing, but it's showing Lo at 7am GMT and looking at the settings of the indicator look correct. I would expect it to show Lo right now at 8am GMT instead of 7 and during the summer have 7am. What am I missing?

The answer is no, it is not a valid Sonic R. short setup because:
1. Outside London Session.
2. Dragon not angled down.
3. Wave leg #1 is supposed to cross Dragon.
In this case, maybe waiting for what is now leg #3 to become leg #1 of a new Wave, we'd also be in the London Session with the Dragon angled down. Maybe then we'd have a short setup.
The M15 Dragon/Trend is being displayed here (tricked you). PA is not below Trend, but the rules say "...it is even better if PA is below the Dragon for a short."...

1. The time on the bottom of the chart is broker server time, not London time!

2. Your vlines are, however, one hour too soon! You can shift them to the right one hour by increasing your "DST_Sever_GMT_Offset" by +1.

3. Always confirm you have the proper placement of the vLines by checking "real-time" that the Lo vLine coincides with the current candle when the SonicR Clock Panel shows it is 8am in London. Using the clock you can similarly check the NY vLine at 8am in NewYork and the Lc vLine at 12 noon in NY/5pm in London. You can only do this during live trading hours, of course.

In the compile of the SonicR Chart Panel, at the top, there are user notes including specific instructions to setting both "DST_Sever_GMT_Offset" and the "DST_Zone" (near the bottom of the inputs). You might have one or both of these incorrect. Better double check per the instructions. I just outlined taking care of the first, but you need to look at the second, also.

5. Sonic and I are doing it the same way! I just got through explaining to you the "evolution" that lead to Sonic and I putting Lo and Lc where they are! I have never released a template without first seeking sonic's review, comments and approval. Do you see him using a chart that shows Lo/Ny/Lc at any different place on the PA chart than the rest of us? No! Please don't get bogged down with that early statement of times. Since then Sonic has placed into Post#1 the TAH template showing the Lo/Lc so no Soniker can mistake the recommended trading hours window!
