My belief is that it does not make sense at all to look at charts and technicals currently. SNB could start buying EUR. BOJ might start selling more yen. Fed could come out with QE3. So what's the point of drawing christmas trees on the charts.

The things you mentioned are what you DONT know, so trade based on what you know and see, NOT based on what you don't know.

Hi mohan it was my last buy as I guessed if it breaks I might not be able to catch it, actually it was a false break.Not a big deal just a preparation for monday because I bought this pair when everybody used to short since 1.32xx, 200 pips in my pocket allready According to my pitchfork this could go up to 1.3550 I agree with you , I don't know what happens next.This bastards could freeze everyone when all expect a bear market at 1.36xx.As Kibescorp says risk is on and weak dollar is good for Usa, they are the second best in this currency and economy war after China !!!

If 1.36 breaks then I have 1.3626 fib 61.8 and also comes in at the cross with the downward trendline 1.4548 on 08-29-11 and 1.4246 on 10-27-11.
That would be a real nice place for big short.
Give or take a few pips.

But first I expect a pullback from Friday, at least to 1.334x but you never know.

The point of drawing Christmas trees on the charts is so when the Feds, SNB, etc... step in, you can then watch your Christmas tree come to life. As their actions help complete the chart patterns that traders look at.

I'm really bullish on EURUSD midterm now as there occured a break of a daily head and shoulder neckline. Target is according to the H&S height and also right at the 161.8 fib-expansion level. There is some major resistance from 200 SMA, a falling trendline, 100 fib-expansion and 61.8 fib-retracement level at around 1.36-1.37 though. The trendline would be confirmed if a retracement happens, but any break would trigger large buying. Since the market is still short very strongly, there will be most likely only small short orders around this resistance zone with huge stops and buy orders above. After those shorts, there shouldn't be much selling pressure left, so short covering and stoplosses will make their way upwards again.
On balance volume indicator support this bullish bias as you can see a strong rise during the upwards slope after the head-low and the breakout.

There are some shortterm fundamental resistance topics as LTRO3 and Greek bailout discussion, but most Greece stuff is already priced in and will in my opinion not move the market longer than a few days. The only reversal topic would be a Greek bankruptcy.

Hoping for some suggestions on this.
