Big e always taught to keep it simple and not to over analyse trading, but even though he wanted to keep it that way on this thread, it seems its changed alot.

And the 'always trade what we see not what we think can happen' seems daft when you're analysing previous s+r - thats exactly what you're doing - acting on something...
Then I guess the TDI aint for you. Every trader has his set of indis that he is comfy with. If you still want to trade then i would say that you should find your set of indis since TDI dont work for you.

I am not Big E so i wont be able to teach traders his exact way of trading. I dont know what use to go through his head when he took trades. But i am teaching the way that made me successful.

I do trade many 4H charts only taking specific crosses on the TDI
and i do trade the 1H TF with only E/U

what happen here is that the green line will bounce off the MBL thats when you can exit your trade. I usually take 30 to 50 pips in this case.
But when the green crosses the MBL you can run your trade further but also at the same time monitoring key areas like S&R etc
Thanks for the reply, I had not considered the MBL in relation to the green and red lines before.

Having only read upto page 149 so far I see you take trades differently to Eelfranz, you prioritse PA before the TDI cross and you also consider the 200 EMA, Fibs, pivots, divergences.
So the method is not as simple as it started out.

GUYS!!!!!!!! Its money machine...! You really don't need fibs, s&r etc staffs.

Just use TDI + heiken ashi, trade on 4h tf and up...

do your homework - back test... get confidence. Don't trade during high impact news. Trade with clear head. W/o emotions... With good MM aggressive or not so aggressive (depending from your experience and capital).

Raa, On 4hour and up TF's do you use Shi Channels? Or anything similar, or just purely TDI and PA?

Well in fact its really very simple.
fibs , pivots , divergances are all basics and with enough practice becomes second nature.
Big E has mentioned this before that basics are important.

If you dont care about any basics then no system will ever work.

Trade with te trend to be successful

Personally i would go long after the bounce off the 200EMA.
TDI shows me a bounce trade as well and a nice easy 50 to 60 pips
Thanks for your answer and explanation, so far I´ve used for backtesting and demotrading just that set of indicators that Big E mentioned in the beginnig. So in that trade I didn't check 200 EMA or MBL, I'll backtest this (hopefully I'll have some time this weekend) and then post some trades.

Do you use Stoch direction to confirm entry?

As far as pivots go which are important to you?

200EMA shift 0 , typical.

Nope i took out stoch along time ago as that use to make me miss a lot of set ups.

The daily pivots and the S&R pivots are important but i only use the pivots for the 1H chart . The 4H chart i dont use pivots. I just mark normal s&r areas manually.

I just traded GBP/EUR size 1 and on opening I was -32USD. I use FXCM. Is this normal or excesive?

Hello everyone...new guy here.

I've been reading many threads on this forum looking for something, anything to improve my trading percentages. I have read thru Page 8 of this thread and just wanted to send out a big THANK YOU to eelfranz for this system.

Now in honesty, I don't trade fx nor do I understand it but I do trade stock options, usually weekly options. Two days ago I read the first post of this thread after googling something about Heikin Ashi systems and read eelfranz's very first post...WOW!

Yesterday I changed my timeframes from the infamous 15 minute settings (which I had changed from the even more notorious 5 minute timeframe the week before) to the ONE hour setting and did some paper trading, setting alerts, etc.

Because I don't trade fx I don't have access to the TDI indicator so I messed around with my CCI and used a 5,3 setting (seems to do exactly the same thing as the TDI for timing...along with the Slow Stochastics set at 8,3 to show overbought/sold levels per the first post.

!!!!Holy cow!!!!

One (stock) option I trade regularly (that consistently allows me to make 40% per trade in about an hour - and then causes me to lose that same 40%+) ran smooth as silk up 210% in 24 hours.

The other (stock) option I trade has run 400% this morning.

Needless to say, I'll be going live on Monday.

By changing the time frames from the 5 - 15 minute to the ONE hour setting, zooming out if you will, everything slows down and becomes way more obvious for timing a new trend.

Thank you eelfranz and all those that have contributed to honing this trading method...SIMPLE IS ALWAYS BETTER!

Can I just clear something up reguarding tdi. there seems to be different version of it, three so far I have. Now one of those tdis doesnt update or just change its angle until the start of a new candle. A new candle will start and the angle will be set on the opening. If the market was shooting uo at this point we would of seen a strong 2o clock angle on it, and if market changes its mind and begins to go down on the start of the next candle the tdi would then show flat or a 4 o clock angle.

I have another tdi which updates in real time, so at the start of the new candle (market moving up) it would show a 2o clock angle. As that candle progresses, say it headed back down - the tdi would then change (before start of new candle). So my question is, which tdi is best to trade with?. With the realtime one you may get in, noticing the strong angle but then half way through the trade it may flatten out - do you get out mid trade? it may turn out that it goes back up after flattening out. Seems a bit crazy. So which one are people using?

1 standard lot = 100,000 units, so £100,000 if trading GBP/EUR (if listed like that). 32USD ~= 24EUR ~= 20GBP, so I guess your bid/ask spread must've been about 2 pips then. That's not excessive, but it could certainly be better. For reference, the spread Oanda quotes me on EUR/GBP is currently 1.2 pips, so therefore a standard lot trade would imply a spread/cost of 12GBP or about $19 or so.

(As an aside, how big is your account? Trading a full standard lot should only be done if you have a sufficiently large account, know what you're doing, and have a very good handle on spreads, margin, account leverage, nominal/real leverage etc etc. The mere fact that you ask the question you do, and the way that you ask it, gives me the suspicion that you do not have a handle on these things and that in all likelihood your 1 lot trade is much much larger than you should be taking for your account. Of course this is speculation on my part so apologies if I'm wrong.)

Thanks for your reply, It's a $US account total 30,000 and you're correct I do not have a handle, that's why I'm laboriously working my way through the thread. I only asked because Eelfranz replied to someone stateing that on opening a trade he then clicked "close trade" to bring a box up, and when it went 12-15 pips against him, closed the trade. Every trade I open I'm immediately -$25-$40 behind. Regards and thanks again, Bill

Thats the spread (comission) that your broker charges you for every trade you make. You will always get into a trade negative thats absolutely normal
