That is the trade off of using the EA. Your fills will be a bit lower, but that is compensated by having the trade start in the proper direction. You will make a little less on your winners, but you will have almost no trades start off against you. Again, I considered this when starting this thread. I decided to leave it out, but when I saw some of you triggering your stops initially, I decided to put it in. Take into account that I donīt use close stops so I am used to having the initial move start against me and it doesnīt bother me, but if you use stops and they are triggered, that becomes a big issue. I have to adapt the system to the way YOU trade or it will not work for YOU. For me, itīs not very relevant. I donīt mind the swings and in the long run I can save a few pips by not using the EA, but if the system is going to work for everyone, I realized it has to be there.

No. You must do that manually by modifying the order once it triggers. I have a fantastic and very sophisticated EA (MPTM System) made by Steve Hopwood that is great at all the money management. I intend to introduce it as an addition to the system later on, but if you want it now, give me your email and I will send it to you. The way you use it is by applying it right after you remove the initial order EA.

You have to apply the EA once you price touches or crosse the outer band. If you do it after and price is across the white line, it will trigger it immediately. Apply it when you get rule 3 (Spike) and before or immediately after Rule 4 is valid (Color Change).

Also, be careful to apply the correct EA, Long or Short. If you apply the wrong one, you may get the opposite order of what you want. Iīve done it a couple of times, so beware.

first congratulates a very nice system - just test it.
I have an idea, instead using the white line. Please check if I did not get better with this indicator of ON Sidus v2 settings:
Fast EMA - 4
slow EMA - 10
RSI Peroid - 17

I play when you get a turn signal arrow.

No. Unfortunately I jumped the gun this morning and sold at 1.5692. I could have gotten a better fill had I waited for the EA.

Tip:

Here is a high percentage scalping strategy with the Extreme TMA System and the EAs. When the EA triggers, set your TP to exit at the center line of the TMA.

Even better, set the TP at 10 pips profit from your entry point.

I use this strategy often for nice quick profits. The downside is that price may continue on to the other band, but it is quick and consistent profits.

Always make sure that the white line is not to close to the center line. The closer it is to the band, the better your trade results will be.

Tip:

The extreme TMA System works great on H1 and H4 time frames without changing any inputs. A great strategy and a lot of fun is to run one position with the H4 or H1 TF and get the full move of the PA, and at the same time, use the scalping method with the M15 TF. You will have a lot fewer trades with the higher TF but while you wait, you can scrape yourself some quick profits with the scalping method.

The scalping method also works great on the M1 and M5 time frame.

just out of curiosity why is the MA histo set at a period of 10?

just want to know the thinking process as to that period and not 5 or something like that

It fits better a move to the other band. a setting of 5 will trigger opposite color bars several times before reaching the other band. You can change it to your preference. I set it at 10 to not be tempted to exit the position to soon.

X-Man, can you come up with a different spin on how to fit your wave concept extremes to this system? Any ideas? As I said on page 1, this is a fine system but I am sure we can make it better and more profitable. Any suggestions that may increase profitability and/or reduce risk are highly welcome.

I would not risk more than 30 pips on a 15m chart so i would set my SL between 25 to 30 pips a trade.

X-Man, I agree that 20-25-30 pips should be enough for M-15. As a matter of fact I'll probably start with only 20 pips and then I'll see whether I have to make it bigger or not.

Of course, Al is right when he says "the possibility of repeated spikes at the top (or bottom)", but I'm planning to use not stop-loss per say but rather a pending hedging order (buy-stop if I sell and sell-stop if I buy) placed 20 pips from the price I entered. So it would be possible to recover the trade even if the price spikes and goes more than 20 pips against me.

Great suggestion Mike!! I am going to write up your hedging strategy for page 1 this weekend. If you can detail it for me, I would really appreciate it.
