I know not everyone takes account of news when using this strat. but the Bank of England minutes released at 9:30 am had sharp effect on the pound I think.

Beware of support trendline.

I feel if this breaks, we could finally make it back to the gap fill...

However, if it plugs the gap I can't see much holding it up as the momentum would be fairly strong.

Will try to put them up in next couple days. But i trade using rising star and falling star candles, other doji candles such as a large cross, usually at the top of a recent move up or down to signify change in direction. Also try to trade these only when above 100ema going long, and below going short.
I use 1H charts on majors and usually only enter once the next candle has exceeded last candles low or high 'in profitable direction'.

My risk reward ratio is 2.5:1
SL between 15-25, so some trades are not made due to large TP move required. Just been lots of good candles and then entered trades, only to be wipped out of them.

Ah! OK, so you're not trading the reversal candles as per this thread then.

Maybe no point posting your charts for everyone to analyse.....

Hey Caillou,

I see you are there. I reckon your M15 method is doing quite well today.

Yeah, I've been following his tactic too. Marking out the trades I didn't take. I did score on one with the flow of the H1 trade: the break of the 10:30 candle. After the Brokers bit I got +10.

Incidentally, just closed EU H1 at BE as I now want to see a break and test of the triangle (not thread rules I know), and I quit EJ earlier for -5 as I didn't like the fact that the Yen is clearly more of a pushover than the Dollar.

Cheers.

EDIT: Calliou method so far since 08:00 I reckon is +48. 5 trades which means my net would be something like +40
EDIT #2: Actually there might have been a dead stop long close of 10:15 candle which was voided by the 10:30 reversal so subtract 3 pips from that account.
