Hi Chanx

I did not make this. The thanks goes to ForexJedi who has not been around for a while.

I have spent a lot of time with it and understand its benifits and shortcomings. It is a great system and if treated properly will earn you pips.

Great trading

Hi Rufus, I am looking at a scalping method as I am realizing this suits my personality and attention span better. I am very interested in this system as its template seems to make very good sense. I am wondering if an alert has been coded for this system. I don't mean to be lazy but the euro session is family evening time here in Australia and I can't be watching charts every 5 mins or so? Thanks Rufus

Try this. The attached picture is kind of what it will look like. As you can see, if you take every signal it will drain your account. The key is to take the signals that happen in the correct locations.

It can become a nasty habit that when the chart dings you click the mouse....Pavlov's dogs

Enjoy

I've been monitoring the 5min Force system on the 15min time frame for about a month. It does give clear signals and they are pretty consistent. However, the 5min time frame does work better. You get entry and exit signals earlier. If you are comfortable with the price action signals on the 15min then it might work for you.

I'm trying to move the 5min Force to the 15min TF. I use it in conjunction with another 5min strategy. Combining the 2 on the 15min TF (and the 5min) gives me good reliable signals as well as retracement and reversal warnings.

I have been trading this system for about 2 years without a losing month. I am trading 5 minute time frame only, also only EUR/USD. I have observed the following if you want this to work for you:
*trade with greater trend. I look to the 30 minute and 4 hour for that, I trade higher highs and higher lows in those time frames
* watch trend on 30 minute and trade the 5 minute bounce off FIB pull back levels on 30 minute
* Watch round numbers, Forex reversals commonly occur here. Force system will help you grab quick pips on those reversals
* Trade bounces off previous support resistance levels in direction of trend

2/3 of my trades are winners, my profits are approximately double the size of my losses. For me it is all about trading PA - very important. The indicators are just a confirming reference and help me with alerting tools for my phone so I can have a life away from the screen.

People lost interest in this thread, however I believe this is one of the easiest systems for beginners, When applying better Price Action structure it is as good as anything I have seen in FF. It is sad that people lost interest in this thread. It has returned many thousands of dollars to me.

..encouraging post - i like the look of this, especially with higher TF confirmation. Thanks.

I clearly see 3 London session signals today: -6, +48 and a +12.

I like this because the confirmation signals leave little room for ambiguity and the entries are usually quite tight to the last swing low/high. Removing risk quickly and letting winners run without being too greedy also appears to be an essential part of the plan.

One should be an EMA(5) based on closing prices, the other is EMA(5) on opening prices - you can specify this within the MA properties in Metatrader. Apologies if i'm teaching you to suck eggs!

The best trades have occurred for me when I can do the following visually with Price Action:

  1. View clear higher highs for long trades or lower lows for short trades
  2. signal occurs as a bounce off a Fib retracement back into the direction of the greater trend
  3. Another very successfuly setup is a bounce off support which was previous resistance into the greater trend

All of this requires the eyeballing of charts. If you only focus on those and combine the orginal force rules you will get the following:

  1. More profit trades than lossing trades
  2. Average profit greater than average lose

In time the bank growth takes care of itself.

I guess what I have learned after trading this meathod is that the force 5 min system provides sound rules for entry and exit, using indicators.

Price Action drives the market. Trade price action and use force to refine entry and exit.

It is a weight of evidence, provding mulitple reasons for success.

This also works well on AUD/USD on a 15 minute time frame when traded with Fib pullbacks

BTW - This is not one of those systems that you can expect to win 80% of the time. My goal is 2 out of 3 trades are winners. Sometimes it is 50/50 sometimes it is better than 2/3 times. What really matters is the relationship between the size of the winning trade against loosing trade. Generally winners are better than loosers. About 1 in 10 trades really cleans up.

All of this is dependant on my method of trading of Fibs and support reistance level.

Very Important - I never ever trade against the long term trend (although often tempted).

Forex Jedi did a great job bringing this system to FF

I must say that based on my experience this system is as good as anything else available for new traders. As per my post above use Price Action as the guide to consider a Force 5 Min setup.

I use this which was from the Genesis thread. You can set the TF in the parameter settings.

I trade from London open and went long at the break of the 9am(UK) signal candle high. Although the higher TF confirmation (15min stoch) wasn't ideally aligned, the other criteria were, especially price making higher highs and lows off R1. The initial stop was 14 pips and the trade is now at breakeven given the 5min stoch was hooking/crossing from overbought and price may reverse from the pre-London swing high (1.3118).

Edit: stopped at b/e. As price isn't far from R1 i haven't taken the sell signal.

Thanks for the indicator Sidefx, one question though" I am a bit confused: when I set 15 min in the inputs timeframe window, the indicator in the chart is showing Period M30. I assume for the 5M chart I should then set the value in the timeframe window at 5 min and the indicator by default multiplies the stock to the next higher timeframe, i.e. to 15 minutes? Thanks
