this is 2 week 1-hour chart. scalping is usually 15 mins or less for me. I believe this is safer, as to swing trading - i'm not sure what the exact definition is.

These are the entries for me, I'm not going to trade now. But if you ask me, I'd say short is slightly more possible as I see a nearly completed abcd pattern on 1h, also it bounced off trendline in the channel. BUT like i said, dont trade now until you clearely see a setup yourself.

It's retraced from the H4 trendline. 1.3133 is the mid of H4, a close below and shorts looking good.
We're all stories in the end. Just try to make it a good one.

I think I wasted a good short, closed after it closed below my MA. At that moment I wrongly recognize it as an exit signal, just realize that it was an entry signal for short.

A spike out of nowhere, no news whatsoever and price meets a moderately strong resistance. Surely no short sign, but I think it have a good RR ratio.

Your first problem is attributing every move in the market to some news event.
