hi, do you mind explaining the concept of stop hunt in forex? i've seen a lot of posts saying that the big fish are stop hunting.

why do u wanna stop hunt retailers?

First off: there's no "hunting" involved (as if the Rat didn't know where they were!). It's actually stop RUNNING.

EU may have to supply up to 145 billion in next Greece aid... this is much higher than has been expected .... talk yesterday of a 15 billion dollar black hole... fits with this...

They have to pay it but they are not going to like it

took long profits right on the top at 1.3185 and will fade strength up to 1.3250 with smaller shorts, lets see what market will do...

NFP was not very important in last 6 months, but i think this one will lead the way.....esp equties are in big euphory in overshoot levels without single correction, so bad number a lot below expectation may cause some selloff..

especially im bit awared of Bens last FOMC and low rates till 2014 - i hope this didnt have connection with upcoming NFP

anyway range trading still in play for now with quite good possibility of market getting direction after nfp - good number can mean massive rally to 1.34 - 1.35 levels because of bunch SLs above 1.3250 - all above means aggressive breakout buying with tight SL - anything below - fading strength

also take care about headlines about greek stuff

If you think you're fooling anyone by using a mental stop, it's probably for naught. If your broker's the busy little beaver, they've formed a statistical model which delivers an expected stop level for accounts not using stops. They will make it available to the Rat.

And of course, the Rat knows your margin point + take profit.

for sure... today morning I took this PA from 3136 and get out from 3183... but my secenario was to take it again from deeper place and already took it from 58 but your trigger alarm forces me back to stay out.. cause a big trigger can end with 100 pip moves and my indic ator gaves me also the trigger signal but your pointing of a big trigger forces me to think twice before staying on buy position

hi guys,

just keep in mind that for retail brokers are your stoplosses not important, because they are completely unable to move with eur/usd even for 5 pips

SL hunting on eur/usd can be done(and is) by major top tier banks and some second tier banks like socgen etc....and is done by whole G10 department - that means by couple of fx spot traders cos everyone has their own limits for positions
