Surely NO!

For TAH's example, as he has 18 trades, 14 wins and 4 loss.
If he can examine his best trades and find that ....

Let's say that if 5 win trades total 350 pips. Then yes, it is overtrading.

Let's say that if 4 win trades total 200 pips. Then yes, it is overtrading.

Hope you understand in general what I am showing as example, the pips are not exact of course.

I appreciate what you are saying though even tah cannot predict which trades will work and which won't before he enters. Otherwise he would only enter the winning ones of course. Therefore how can he narrow down to just the 4 or 5 winning trades? He can't.

He has to just take each of his edges when they show themselves. What you described is the ideal situation but it is very unrealistic. He has a 77% strike rate this week and if he has an over 1:1 RR he has little improvement to make. On the contrary, he is doing very well. A 77% strike rate is nothing to be sniffed at...

It is only over-trading when you are losing. When you are winning it is taking advantage of favorable market conditions

It is extremely difficult to narrow down to say 4-5 trades.
It is possible though to narrow down to less trades.

I am not sniffing at TAH's strike rate or the way he trades, he is doing well.
That does not mean a trader cannot improve further with less trades.

My first trade via ipad clone (android)!

My rule of thumb, SL's are always at 20.

Also, might get out soon, NFP today, shit might be haywire, like yesterday....

MV, you are asking a question that really doesn't need to be answered. As long as the price moves in SOME direction, things will be just fine. Just follow the rules of the Sonic R Method, and jump on board when the time is right!

If ur SL is fixed @ 20 pisp and ur TP is 20 pip or more..
The chance of getting SL hunted is very high, even though the direction of ur trade is proven correct,,,..

SL hit at BE, lost a few pennies.. One sec i was up 50, next hit my SL.. Aww, the power of NFP!!! Meh, had to spit out my noodles to try to react heh. 0 Gain or lost today, good day

SL at 20 is to limit my loses. Worked for the past 2 months, as long as i stick to it and not get emotional.

As i type this, its going back up.. Scary day, very scary.

This is obviously bear time. Elsewise the BBs would not have rammed the price up 50+ pips like they did.

Half closed at TP1= 1.3101 for 42 pips from EP to TP1. SL moved to BE+. BTW, TP1 was based on a swing of 100+ pips. TP2 is based on a swing of 150+ pips.
