Well, i was long since there was a doji which formed on the weekly charts..it has respected the technicals of higher time frames beating down the gravestone doji that formed on the daily chart..

This is the first time I check this thread and I found your post quite curious.

So sorry to jump in, as I am far from an expert or anything on that matter in Forex, and I hope Im not being disrespectful. And btw this is not personal as Ive seen similar post like yours.

I just wonder why after almost 1 week of this huge discussion regarding the Eurocrisis at Davos where from what I heard through the week I still see a light in the end of the tunnel for the Euro EURO zone recovery , specially with the Greek "deal" being on the verge of happening and mainly today with the US GDP not really supporting a Bullish USD , and the pair actually breaking through some daily pivot resistent points, would you short today?

Just because some FF members are saying SELL? Really?

Im guessing this will be the last time I go through this thread

yes im trying to figure out why everyone wants to short this uptrend? i guess because it has been going down so long. im long at 3110 my sl to start was 3073 below previous lows on 1hr chart but have moved to 3130 jus trailing along :d

This is not an "uptrend," merely a long overdue correction that will last to maybe 1.3400 before it all comes crashing down again.

If you look at the weekly/monthly charts for the past two or three years, you can clearly see that such a retracement is NOT unlikely and is no way signals that the overall sentiment has shifted permaneantly to "positive."

The market is simply waiting for the next major FUNDAMENTAL bombshell to send it all crashing down again.

It could very well be that we have the high for the month in place, even though the whole week might be bullish.
A bearish correction on the last day is very likely.

everyone was in short with millions of dollars but EU continue up

checkout oanda, etoro also

so the currency always go against the trader because broker trading against the client ?

Not all retail traders are wrong

One measure is the number of years a trader is an active member here.

Depends on how you define a trend. Obviously, if you look at 1hr tf then the immediate trend was to the upside. While daily has been to the downside, 50 ma is flattening and price is marking it's territory above it. Daily candle does not suggest any sign of bear. Note that daily momentum is still pointing to the upside as well. You can't be sure if the market is waiting for the bomb shell.

What you are doing is trying to guess the top while immediate trend is up.
For 10 days straight, it's been positive. What I've seen here is majority people were swimming against it. Which is the exact reason why I try to stay away from forums like this when I'm trading.

Good question, as technical traders we can obviously see that there is a retracement under way, maybe even a complete change of trend - nobody knows!

Agree with kibescorp to look for 1.34, as 50% pullback from down trend.

And fundamental traders, well, they think EuroZone is in crisis, but they don't realize maybe USD is worse, so jumping from frying pan into fire?
