Short on Euro at 1.29164

Price just below 89smma and just below daily pivot
89smma slanting down
CCi(60) signal cross downward over +100 level

Target 100 pips to 1.2816

However, this trade is taken on purely technical signals.
I have back tested this all the way from 2007 and the results are consistent. It won't make you a millionaire (about 5% per month) but it won't kill your account either. Time will tell. It will make a nice compliment to my existing strategy.

And 5% a month will make you millionaire just a question of how many months we are talking about.

hey PT, what system are you talking about... Gofers system?

Also, consistent 5% a month... what happens when you double lot size?

Hello!

I'm investigating the possibility of changing my trading strategy over the coming months to a more long term approach or quit entierly for some time (in which case I will work on refining my strategies and demotrade). This will be done because of a new daytime job that prevents me from closing trades in less than 30 days (if they are in profit). Anyone that trades the weekly? or have any ideas on where to point me? I have some ideas but need to get more influence.

I'll keep that in mind when I do my 10yr back testing.

No it's a system I put together by taking a bit from here and a bit from there plus a few of my own ingredients.

As for doubling the lot size, that will throw the risk management off.

Honestly if you are looking at max 10% draw down, I would double the drawdown to 20% and let it compound at 10% a month.

A dollar compounded at 5 percent is about 5.8 dollars but if you compound it at 10% it grows to over 30 dollars.

My 10% target is for turbulent market conditions not including black swan events. If we get a black swan event, then 20% doesn't leave me much safety margin. That's why I tested with 10% and it handled everything very well from Jan 2007 till today. The max drawdown on the backtest was 23.5% during one such BSE. Like I said... work in progress.
