I'm still getting a trend line mismatch error with version 1.8. If you look at the attached screen grab you can see the trend line down (default 45/15 settings) and the matrix correctly shows it in red. The trading signals indicator however shows the trend line as up.

It wasn't just a single bar issue. I've just watched another two bars close and the indicator hasn't changed.

Is anyone else seeing this?

PB

EDIT: Okay, tried closing down MT4 and restarting and it's now displaying correctly. Maybe MT4 always has to be restarted after attaching or updating the signal indi? Thought I'd better point this out in case there are other people sitting there waiting for a signal that will never come! ;-)

I think many people are. I have reverted to 1.7 until lhDT has a chance to look at it and correct it.

Hi You All Symphonie Maniacs

just got a pm from Eval saying ppl wondering if i'm still alive yes, i am, but i fell into a trap i laid myself in the recent past: overload. i'm unable to find free time for trading, not to even mention for posting! i'm totally amazed by the work Lio and others have done here, but i didn't even come so far to download the EA!!

if there are some issues with indicators i posted, or if i can be of any assistance.. i would be glad. but i can't promise anything. i'm unsubscribed from the thread since i simply can't cope with the speed of the development so drop me a pm in case you think i could help - and i will try.

Lio, you're a star i'll check out your beast asap

Just wondering how people have their take profit levels set up for the new indi. I am running it on a M5 chart with default values and the levels seem quite low, especially compared to the standard Symphonie stop loss values. Is this intentional?

I've just had a long trade trigger on EURUSD with a 10 pip stop loss and 20 pip take profit (BE @ 13 pips). Is that about right, or is something screwy with my settings?

I have to say though...I've just watched it take profit in 15 minutes without any fuss!

:-)

Hi all,

first of all, a big THANKS to Eval and the whole team for the great work you have done. I like the system but I even like more the way you work here together. A very positive atmosphere!

After reading here for a few weeks now, I felt it is time to get more active.

Just a few words on my person:
I'm investing in stocks for ages, but I'm relatively new to forex. I have a long professional software coding experience, meanwhile also gained experience in mql4 EA/indi (re-)writing (for my own education purpose only) and backtesting. I would still see myself as a junior in the trading biz but I hope with my coding experience I can contribute to move ideas into code.
So, let me know where I can support you here.

One thing I recently did and want to share, was to write a wrapper indicator around the matrix indi. Nothing magic. It basically saves the status of it after candle close (so the status of bar 1) and does not change it later on. I found it helpful to look back after some time and see exactly what the matrix indi had reported, because all 4 indis repaint more or less.
Looking at the picture (the yellow circles) you see (from the static indi) that the matrix indi had reported 4 blue dots. But few bars later, there is a new extreme spike and the others got repainted (disappeared). The matrix indi reverted the dots back to red. In the static indi you can still see what happended in the past.
There is one drawback for now: It can only work live, if you restart the static indi or change TF, it starts fresh. This could also be changed but it would require to change all the underlying indies and I may only work on it if there is interest in.

take care
candletiger

NEW Account Statistics Report week 11

As I have done for the past Fridays, I am posting my weekly Account Statistics Report on the NEW Account. Also, please remember that I am only trade EURUSD and NOW only in 5 min*** timeframe and only during EURO and beginning US market times. No more 24 hr trading for me. Getting too old to do that. (Special note; This criterea is subject to change so, keep and eye out for my trading timreframe change)

Markets were shaky this week as EFSF decisions resurface, and possible resolution and good Spanish and French bond auctions have boosted the euro even though France AAA credit rating was lowered one notch. The thread account made profits but jumpy markets at the end of the week the account has not faired so well. I am still in trades but looking for some moves before Friday ends. But for the week it looks like the thread account will end flat no increase in balance.

There is still a possibility of a bounce back to 1.30000 as a corrective wave but after that I firmly believe the downtrend will resume and we can then look to a bottom in the 1.23000 range.

Evaluator

*** - timeframe trading change I am moving to 5 min for month of January as markets return to normalcy.
